LOL The Hive Mind at it's Best again!

She is viable. Shes meta right now with a lot of pro players crying about nerfing her hack.

It’s okay… I was uninformed as well, at first.

A hero isn’t balanced unless they occasionally get people complaining about them.

Ironic, isn’t it?

I’m 100% sure if Contenders or OwL used Bastion, the hive mind will say hes completely fine

I’m not uninformed  Sombra is meta. You are uninformed now if you think she isn’t.

You and OP miss my point which is that it’s silly to call the forums a hive mind for having a change of opinion, a change of opinion which is 100% justified when the basis of that opinion sees huge, fundamental changes both directly and indirectly. You can’t fault people for having a different perspective on Sombra when that change in viewpoint is parallel to changes seen in the game. It’s not a hive mind, it’s not ā€œjust people whiningā€ either, it’s people reacting to new things happening within Overwatch and then discussing those things.

OP acts like no one thinks for themselves, as if having a different opinion on Sombra after her changes is a fad or something. Is it really that befuddling to think that the community might think differently about a hero after they’ve gone from being irrelevant, to very relevant? I don’t think so, anyway.

Sombra in particular is a hero that, when this relevant, creates unfun situations, especially in this iteration where she can so freely get her hacks and disrupt strategies. It should be no surprise that when a hero that deactivates abilities, can appear from anywhere, and teleport to safety effectively whenever is meta, people might start to think that she’s kind of annoying to go up against, and if she isn’t relevant, then people don’t really have as much to complain about.

Nah. I have believed that she was the best character in the game since she was revealed. Back when I was crazy until the Koreans learned how to use her. After that, she dropped again, my perception of her did, and then the rework happened and I started calling it broken while 90 plus percent of the Sombra pretended it was a massive nerf. I am not even necessarily calling for a nerf. As long as she is worthless on ladder, it is hard to justify that. But glad to see myself vindicated nevertheless.

Sombra’s biggest problem has always been a PR one. The first and hardest struggle with her is to convince your team to accept her and work with her abilities. If they refuse, she’s hamstrung no matter what else she does.

Wait, that doesn’t happen to you already? When I get hacked suddenly my beats turn into kid’s bop and baby metal.

Once some people start complaining others tag on when the game they thought they were carrying is lost and that happened after a well timed EMP is used.

This isn’t the first time this phenomenon has happened given what I’ve seen, and I think it sucks when hero begins to emerge as a good pick and what happens ā€œjust nerf itā€ becomes the tune and the people caught holding the bag are the mains of the said hero.

I disagree with this sentiment…A troll pick is in the eyes of the betrollder.

There aren’t any ā€˜troll’ picks, just ā€˜troll’ players.

I’ve argued that she was fine for about as far back as I can remember the Sombra threads, going almost 100% against what others said. I don’t appreciate the generalization

Anytime a hero starts seeing the spotlight is the moment people think they’re OP, despite things not really having changed too much on the hero. Winston and Reinhardt are great examples.

Winston was considered crappy until Dive came around, suddenly he’s the best tank in town. People complain he’s OP and needs nerfs, despite him having been relatively the same since launch.

Reinhardt also falls into that category because he is 100% dependent on the meta and team hero choices. Yet somehow he is considered too strong any time his pickrates climb. Again, his kit hasn’t changed since launch, in fact, some consider him weaker because of the bugs.

People just get mad whenever their hero is no longer the most popular hero.

The hero with the absolute lowest win rate across the ranks is ā€œstrongā€?

All that’s happening now is the current meta is working in Sombra’s favour. When it inevitably shifts again she’ll be back to trash tier without a single nerf.

Please please guide me to those people that think Sombra is strong because I’ve been basically one tricking her on my smurf and all I ever get is the blame for a loss when I was doing the absolute most and my team wasn’t able to follow up. I want to play with people that think she’s strong, please if you meet some of those bring them my way

You aint seen nothin yet.

Just wait until OWL S2, where Sombra will be played heavily and will be a deciding factor in a lot of matches. About a week into that, prepare to see the forums being flooded with anecdotes (Lies) about Red team sub-Masters Sombras carrying every single match and making the game unenjoyable, unplayable, and unwinnable for this forum full of historical…anecdoters.

Exactly ^ This is the case all of the time and this is why why have nerfs that aren’t needed.

The only people who ever complaind about Sombra being bad are the people who played her.
