Let's do a prostate cancer drive with Blue Baptiste, like Pink was with Mercy

It is funny that you take me for someone who wants to make sure individual people or groups get theirs. My actual opinion is that most of the worlds ills come from “too many people”. That isn’t the stance of a charitable person.

What I won’t do is prescribe my belief or opinion on society at large. Nor will I tell a company that has the opportunity to help some people, no matter who they are or what their illness is, how they should go about doing it.

It is bad because it limits the amount of things that an entity can help with for fear of disappointing slouches like you. Blizzard can help with any form of illness they want to. As can you. You want to cure an ailment that affects humanity equally, have at it and send all the money their way that you want to.

Stop trying to remove an option for others to garner their own support.

Activism is politics. The two are the same thing. And I am no more obligated to agree with you than you are to agree with me.

Again, 99% of breast cancer patients are women, and only 1% are men. Every charity deserves to be donated to, and since the last charity was for women, there’s ntohing wrong with the next one being for men. Your arguments are nothing more than a thinly-veiled discrimination than diseases affecting men are not worth donating to, while those affecting women are.

I gotta admit it was sort of annoying Breast cancer is the only cancer to get any attention. To be fair it’s not unique to blizzard though, a lot of companies just go for that one as a “popular choice”.

Frankly while I hate the idea of skins being sold for so much money, and the best ones going to timed exclusives I really think a Prostate Cancer, autism or any number of causes could of also gotten some love.

Plus Blizzard makes money off these things, I don’t believe 100% of the proceeds was donated or anything. And if you don’t make them exclusive you can easily have the donations only count for the first 30 days or something, and every thing after be normal profits.

It’s what lot of places do.

 again , I didn’t say thing bad

I said, I have my own preference .

This doesn’t mean the op has a bad idea. I said I think mine is more appropriate

This is fine. I never said thing bad

Fair enough. But in that context, so is charity.

They aren’t on the same spectrum tho In the context of discussion of charity merit

 Last time I checked…men are included in “everyone”

Except you are fine with diseases almost exclusively affecting women getting money while making excuses that similarly-situated diseases affecting men are not.

Then stop pretending your preference is anything more than your discriminatory bias and it’s ok for you to aggressively shove it in everybody’s face as something more than that.

I am pretty sure 100% of the Pink charity drive actually did go to the cancer charity.

It would be nice to get everybody involved, which is why I asked for a prostate charity. Then, the roster of events clearly involves everybody by the events run,.

You made the attempt to associate Blizzard helping with prostate cancer to be some sort of misogynistic bigotry, by prescribing that by doing so they aren’t thinking of “everybody”.

I would think at this point you and yours would have figured out most people are sick of hearing that kind of drivel.

As you are the moral standard…right? Or should I say left?

Bro, let;'s just ignore her. Talking to her is pointless and she’s clearly just trying to get the thread locked.

Well there is also the issue Prostate cancer does affect women too far as I know, it’s not like it’s testicular cancer or anything. It’s not in the big 3 of killers for women but a lot that is because it’s not really tested or looked at. It’s so rare it’s basically not tested.

I think you are correct. Should have checked myself out a while ago. Best wishes to you in your future endeavors.

Much obliged. Feel free to stay to talk to the rest of us, I’ve talked to you before and I think you’re fine.

Hope you’re having a good day.

If multiple people are misunderstanding you then maybe you should be more careful in how you phrase your responses instead of acting snarky.

But regardless

You’re making this about what’s more appropriate in your opinion when the discussion is about funding cancer research. Get over yourself. All funding for cancer research is appropriate.

I totally agree with you and I think this is the point we should concentrate on. Just ignore her.

Cancer research should be about saving lives, nothing more, nothing less. Politics shouldn’t be getting into it.

I literally said…I wasn’t.

That Its one of my issues with the pink mercy event

That and that it was exclusive are my biggest gripes

I’m not.

…what? No I didn’t

Please…explain how “be inclusive” is…misogyny

…wut?

No.

You can have a preference for things based on theme. It has nothing to do with left or rightness.

Bold of you to assume my gender

It’s actually a point of contention about prostates and gender biology in the midst of trans activism…but that’s a whole thing

Omg…

That’s not the kind of appropriate I’m talking about here.

It’s like …when I make things for my own charity logos. I don’t just plaster any icon…I match it to my area. My old California logos don’t match now that I’m in Texas. It doesn’t mean kids in California don’t matter. I’m just here focused on kids in Texas.
.it matches

It always gets into it. That’s why charities even exist. Unfortunately

Who cares.
It’s funding cancer research. No matter what spin you try to put on it, it’s a good thing to do.

Because the suits at Activision don’t think prostate cancer is as marketable as breast cancer.

Well, I do think it would still be super good publicity because of how many guys play. It’s not like there’s a lack of gamer guys at this game.

Fully agreed. Again, le’ts just talk to the nice people since this particular person is trying to get the thread locked to satisfy what she admits is her personal politics.

Yes. …it is a good thing to support kids in California …but I’m here in Texas…so…I think it’s also good that even tho kids in California need help…a focus on Texas, when I live in Texas isn’t bad. It’s just more appropriate to my area.

Imo that’s what overwatch should be. They should have more generalized charities. To match their theme of diversity.

Again…I literally never said “thing bad”

Please stop acting like you know me.

I have posted about my charity ideas long before this thread. You need to calm down and stop making everything about you

Someone needs to tell them about yaoi and its popularity. I’m sure the Mchanzo and Reaper76 fans are very supportive of prostate health :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I wasn’t aware Reaper and 76 have any priorities on meeting other than shooting each other. xD

Do you wanna know what thats a bad idea? Mercy when they did that charity was the single most popular character in Overwatch. Baptiste would probably cost them money
