Probably Lucio if you want healers since he is more popular. Soldier or Rein could work if not

Imo they definitely should have a section linking to cancer websites off the live pink mercy legacy. Just because the event is over doesn’t mean they should stop spreading awareness. Moreover, I think smaller cancers like prostate cancer would be great because it keeps it permanent.
Upon reflection, I would love a cancer skin rework so the mercy skin amends to the charity you donate to for their colors. Help alleviate her ties to one cancer.
Lucio would be good, yeah.
Maybe they could release another version of the dance party emote. xD
Have more charity events so we can fund both breast and prostate cancer research? Sounds great to me!

Well I mean, wanting to kill each other is pretty typical ex behavior and they were totally close until they had a dramatic split for an unknown reason. Plus, Solider is now even canonically gay, so yeah, plenty of potential fodder for shippers there.

They started out as close but gradually split as 76 was appointed head of Overwatch.
I am pretty sure 76 sees Reaper as a giant reason OW fell apart and he’s on a mission to expose the situation and kill him. By the recent Mercy comic, 76 was listed as “obsessed” with it.
Soldier has somebody he’s interested in though I don’t remember the name. There was a pic in a comic they relseased as lore.

This would make mercy a “cancer awareness” icon which matched her theme of healing imo
You can have prostate, breast, and then leukemia and skin. That way it’s based on women, men, and then children and older generations as separate demographics.
And then later make more charities for each other role.
I’ve always like a mental health charity idea which could be for bastion or soldier. And then a tank charity like homelessness
And those would be the overwatch pet charities and you would grow from there with each year adding a hero until the whole roster has a skin.
But I like charities. And realize that’s a whole lotta lotta.
Pretty sure it would be good to focus on one cause per event. Or, the content would be diluted between various mediums.
Vincent I think, they broke up pretty early due to Solider putting his career first iirc. Reaper apparently was married/had a family at one point too.

I am pretty sure Reaper’s family would want to get out of town if he came visiting.
As I like to say about him, if Reaper drank a Scotch on the rocks, it would end up as a Scotch on the floor.

I think each event should be cause focused but each event should open the opportunity or highlight past events.
Moreover, I think they should have done more to emphasize the charity aspect like, showcasing the charity mission , and later any progress or stories from it.
Soldier and Rein haven’t had any events for them like Pink or Mardi Gras, so they probably could get used for this.
Pretty sure Bliz would want something other than a cancer charity for those two. They cause concussions, they don’t cure them. xD
Please no, do it for lucio or any other male hero, baptiste is just the worst character in this game, not balance-wise, but character-wise, he has less personality than Snake’s cardboard box

I’ve heard that concern many times before, but it could be pretty easily solved by writing some lore for him.
I admit it wouldn’t be bad to use Lucio instead because he’s an entertainment star with a soft spot for good causes.
I think Rein or Soldier could work too, as a “hey, tough guys aren’t afraid of doin prostate exam, no problem with that” or somethin

I mean, the reason Mercy was picked for Pink is because she’s so popular, but she’s also a doctor.
Rein and 76 are badexpletives, but they’re not doctors. I think it would make more sense to pick a support for this. Even Zen would work if they were creative about it.

No offense to Bap, but I think Genji is better. You have a very good reason on why it should be Bap, but Genji is more popular than Baptiste… And his popularity would definitely help the sales more.

Well, Lucie Pohl (Mercy’s VA) and Goku Space (Genji’s VA) declared Gency to be official, hired an ultra-high-quality OW fanartist to draw couples art of the characters, both autograped copies and sold them together at conventions.
So, pairing Genji and Mercy in these events could work.

The comments in this topic are why it’ll never happen and are a pretty good representation of prostate/testicular cancer awareness in general.
