Let Sym’s turrets prioritize who she is shooting

Basically title; every other character with a building mechanic (torb/Ashe) benefit from prioritized aiming from their summons; if Ashe or torbjorn shoot an enemy while bob or a turret is on the field, (if in Los) the summons will shift their focus to whichever enemy has been hit my their summoner while Sym’s turrets get no such feature. If given this change, I think Sym’s utility as a dps would increase as she would be more able to secure kills on the people she is focusing, as well as giving her the flexibility to shift her focus.

Yes please. I hate it when I tp behind the enemy and my turrets focus the wrong target.

Kinda redundant. Ashe and Torb are good for this since they and their Turrets have range. So directing them who to prioritize works.
Sym Turrets have a 10m targeting range. So you are not likely to get many targets in this range. If you do, they won’t be there for long, neither will your Turrets due to their low HP. Symmetra also has low range, outside of her Orbs.
Unless her Turrets can pursue targets, there is no reason for her to be able to prioritize targets. That or turn their attack method to AoE…

Why did I imagine Sym turrets with little baby legs hunting down the enemy upon reading these.

3000+ hours of Junkrat does things to ya…

Well, she did have 1 turret that followed her around in her early concept phase. Back when she was known as “Technomancer” or something like that.

And now that’s made me imagine Sym attaching her Turrets to an allied Junkrat Tire.

NGL, this would be awesome.

You play Valorant now right? What region are you?

U.S.

You don’t play Sym very often do you? A strong flanking tactic is to get at the rear of a team and lay your turrets at their feet, then beam them, which forces the choice to deal with you or the turrets. When doing this with any number of people in range, the separation of beams from their intended target to defocus damage can be catastrophic.

While we’re at it (and I am being serious). Stop having sym turret’s announce themsevles with huge arrows on them. That is just asking for someone to kill them from 8000 miles away (and how are they always magically shot AROUND corners?). Also, make them immune to AoE; they should have to be targeted and killed, not just farted on.
Ideally they shoiuld be invisible UNTIL they activate. All that set up and they just get shot from someone far away? No.

Me: TP bombing a Genji at 120hp
Turrets in TP bomb: lasering 700hp Hog

I would argue if you’re sending turrets like little Phantasm balls through the air, they should be fair game.

I actually agree with this, I"m talking about when you set them up strategically in a corner or through a doorway and they can be seen through the walls b/c they have arrows on them. like why? Most turrets of the technological variety aren’t obvious. They die too easily for having such a long cd. I’d even settle for a slight nerf to their dps IF they could be made immune to AoE

By the first “clank” of the turret hitting a surface you just gave away your position and if you commit to the other two, you are dead unless you port away.

Maybe this works in low ranks where there’s more tunnel visioning and less awareness but in a setting with Competent opponents this will never work.

No thanks. She’s strong enough.

Outside of the fact that you don’t flank non-engaged opponents, and that you can get all 3 off by the time the first hits the ground, AND having a port out is obvious, I am surprised you would not know all of this, it’s pretty obvious.

It doesnt even work in low ranks really.

Sym is just as bad if not worse in low ranks. It doesnt matter that people cant aim because you dont need to aim with Reaper/Junkrat/Bastion/Soldier to kill her, she receives no support from her team at all and people dont take TP.

She is basically squishy Reaper with no burst and no free multikill ult in low ranks.

No. Pointless change.
