Leaving competitive games wont fix it and I don’t think you should leave quick play matches either. People who tend to give the excuse “we were getting rolled” but in reality they died once on their character in the first team fight and thought and wrote in chat GG before leaving Yeah, no thanks. If the reason is life came up, then just take the penalty and go.

I never said you did. In fact my reply was addressed to certained unnamed individuals, who will abuse every single ‘‘leaver penalty related’’ thread to support their narrative, that QP is a ‘‘casual/for fun’’ gamemode, for comp players to not take seriously, and be able to ruin it for everyone else by being free to leave whenever they want, because ‘‘its just QP lol 
’’, whenever they get one shot by widow, hacked by sombra, lose first fight to blame matchmaker and so on.
I mean, you are complaining about messages, not about leaver penalties if i understand your OP correctly.
Sorry i just can’t take any complains about Matchmaker seriously. If you search ‘‘matchmaker bad’’, you will realize there are hundreds of ‘‘bad matchmakuur!! QQ’’ threads throughout 8 years of OW’s existence.
Matchmaker was always bad for someone, and always will be. At this point all ‘‘bad matchmakuur’’ could just as well be someone ranting on their subjective belief, that its somewhat worse than it ever was.
In this case, matchmaker will never be fixed, because it will always be broken for someone who needs to be carried. Not talking about you specifically.
Apparently not as frequent thing, if Devs themselves deem it necessary to protect the experience of majority of player base, in the most populated game mode in the whole game.
No. Its more like going to restaurant, buying a food that you eat, and then you leave without paying, because the check is too expensive for you.
Fair. Then again, like i said, i wasnt really adressing anything you said in your OP, or at least not specifically. You are free to not liking ‘‘labels’’, and you are free to complaion about Matchmaker, because i know its just easiest thing to do.
Not really. Throughout my own exprience i’ve had in my 2 years of playing ow (2), i’ve myself felt signifficant improvement of match quality in terms of leavers. Before qp leaver penalty, they were running rampart. Everytime, someone would leave after first fight, saying ‘‘team bad ’’, or after getting killed by a hero he/she didn’t like. That is high tier snowflakism in my eyes. Especially when people go: ‘‘its just a qp ’’ to justify absolutely arrogant, selfish and toxic behaviour.
This is only your subjective opinion i am afraid. Though im willing to accept the possibility, that in certain time, match quality can be worse than ever.

I just had 3 matches in QP in a row where I could not play the game, at all. First match tank leaves like 30 secs into the match. A backfiller comes and sees that they have backfilled so they leave the game too. After that my 2nd support left so the people who left could not play the game because we were getting stomped since we did not have enough players.
Same proceeded to happen in the next 2 matches. So yeah that was hella fun. Time wasted for literally nothing. I logged off after that.
Players dont leave fun matches. I never never NEVER left matches in Black Ops 2 or MW3, and Overwatch 1 i rarely left.
You dont see people playing an hour of terraria and leaving. Why is that?

Sadly Azrael, while I support this 100%, the devs in my estimation, only have a 1 (maybe a 2) endorsement rating. So they care not if it drops, and many have already left the building.
