Ok, so this has been a thing for at least 4-6 seasons, but im bringing it up again like HUNDREDS OF OTHER FU.CKING PEOPLE because it has happened 2 times in 2 days… It actually kept me from getting to diamond for the first time…
If the game says “Error starting game, trying again” you are automatically down 25 sr no matter what, but will not show until you end your next match. What this means is if you win your next match you will gain less than 10 SR, however if you lose your next match you will generally lose somewhere around 50SR depending on how you did.
This bug has been around forever, I have probably experienced it around 10-15 times in my ~150 hours of play but jesus come on this is an easy bug to fix, hell if blizzard wants i’ll write the fking code for them… you are literally just doing +/- on an intiger variable… its not hard…
