King is a Dps hero

So apparently in the interveiw they talked about king specifically and stated he is the Dps hero of the team.

That’s pretty solid. That means blizzards thinking more about the meka squads roles as heroes, and we may eventually get to see them in action. :slight_smile: I’m pretty excited to see how they work in the story and play them eventually!

So who is y’all favorite of the group so far? What do you have in mind as far as them being like?

I think we all know they are the best faction. sips tea and watches the riot start

I’d rather see someone as a new hero who’s been in the lore for quite some time by now but didnt get much attention so far.

Junkerqueen or Liao for example.

The blue flying one with the two propellers on either side is the most unique of the bunch and seems to have the most potential.

I really don’t think the game needs more walking mechs at the moment.

It might make a lot of sense… we know Blizz is hiring and working on another FPS-property… the D.va short might be the first “tie-in” to this and it extends one part of the OW universe without locking to much lore down… If so I would expect Blizz-con to do some kind of reveal or hint…

King is cool but I’d prefer Casino. He’s got that young, charming and arrogant kind of vibe we don’t have with any of the current characters.
plus his mech looks like its built for speed which would be interesting.

There is no way we won’t see these guys as playable heroes some day. Their design and lore is way too thought out to for simple background characters and map decoration (the mechs).

Not surprising that King is described as the damage dealer of the group, it’s pretty much what I was expecting judging by the design of his meka. I wonder if this means that he would actually sit in the “Damage” category in the game or if he would be a dps tank like Roadhog. I mean is meka is actually taller than D.Va’s, I’m not sure if a character of this size could fit in a non tank category.

Is there a direct link to this interview? I’d like to hear Michael Chu’s own words on this. Was he actually asked about the meka squad? Seems suspicious that he would randomly mention this.
