Kinda worried that Devs are not hyping June 16th enough

We have alot of silence before the reveal… which makes me worry if it’s actually gonna be big.

But to top it off, we haven’t gotten anything exciting leading up to it right?

They did talk about Moira reworks a few days ago… (but honestly confused by it, because Moira was good last Beta from what I heard.)

But besides that all we really have is a date where likely we will see “reworks” for Mercy, Moira and Ana. (like a basic ExC Beta from all I can tell for now.)

If there is gonna be a new hero as well, shouldn’t they tease it by now?

I’m unsure it will matter how good the content is and how much of it there will be if they just shut down the beta after 3 weeks again.

To double my point, just now seems that put up a new OW1 ExC today…

But it’s not really exciting enough to get me back. (like seriously)

Usually they also hype it within 2-3 days before launch, since hype can only go so far. Especially with how most popular streamers seems to gain more views talking crap about OW2 than hyping it out.

This is just my opinion but being that I got an email with my stats for the Beta and along with which hero I played the most. I was thinking they sent out the emails about June 16th to people that actually played and tested the Beta cause I got in on the first day in the evening and my brother got in later that day but he only played for 1 day and he received no such email or anything about June 16th. But that was just my opinion, correct me if I’m wrong.

Well, imagine if we get blind sided with one of these:

  • Overwatch will be on Steam.
  • Jeff Kaplan is back.
  • Overwatch will be F2P.
  • Overwatch 2 PVP out soon, and a Season+Year release window for PVE.
  • Next beta will be an Open beta

Doesn’t excite me that much as a console player. (specially if I hear the dreaded “Soon™”)

Reminder I bought a gaming pc twice with the benefit of maybe to play OW with others one day, but so much time has past…

Now I mainly game on Next Gen Console while having a pc for just non gaming purposes.

And OW2 vs some the Next Gen games coming in the future is a little one sided.

PvE we have no clue how far along it is (doubt its ready)

when its “closed beta” and they give away as many keys as want to ppl who waste time watching twitch streams kind of loses the “closed beta” feel.

also june 12th is what im awaiting.

its not.

balance isnt anywhere near ready.

some heroes havent even been touched (sym as example of a hero who has to change as she doesnt work with ow2’s wide open/mobile gameplay)

then u have S76 who is overtuned.

sombra’s effectively awful with her rework.

Ana is even more oppressive in 2 than 1.

ihmo their pvp balance is more alpha than beta let alone launch ready.

Like that’s just 2 patches away from being ready to ship
