My keybinds revert to what they were in OW1, almost every game. It seems intermittent, it often changes between the start and end of the game. Sometimes it happens at the beginning, sometimes it happens at the end, but it’s pretty much every game. In OW1 my MB3 was my Push To Talk button, so when they revert it completely prevents me from being able to use the ping function. My menu’s still show the keys I’ve rebound as having the correct keybinds, but they function using the old buttons. Because I didn’t use the “V” key before it’s easy to tell when I melee instead of what it’s been rebound to…
I’d also like to say, why is it not possible to create a bug report without posting in a forum. Blizzard is a multi-billion dollar company, there is no excuse for this and it’s God Damned shameful…
Love that this hasn’t been addressed or even gotten a response. Huge shoutout to this dumpsterfire of a support system…
As it turns out, the issue was caused by having unique keybinds for certain characters. Those characters retained the keybinds from OW1. Maybe Blizzard should pay Reddit for doing their job. ffs
Custom keybinds on certain heroes is not the reason. I’ve reset the custom keybinds to match on all my heroes since the beginning, it is definitely not related to that. Like the original poster said, it happens intermittently, on any hero (with or without custom keybind) and will happen seemingly randomly even on the same hero throughout a match. The bug’s been there since the launch of this broken sequel and like so many other bugs I’ve reported it for 2 months here without any fix. Or even recognition. One thing I’ve noticed is that it seems to be specific to the Communications controls tab since they started splitting the controls settings into different tabs. This is my thread that connects it with another bug related to the communication tab:
