Just revert these changes :)

Well having to worry so much about those glaciers she launches back is a problem, shrink them and bring back the damage drop off.

Cut her self heal so she has to get actual cover instead of just ‘oh noes’ press shift and reset.

I think she is actually intended to be good against fast heroes. What would be the point in a slow otherwise?

Genji will never enter the meta as long as Moira is in the picture :smiling_imp:

moira isn’t whats keeping genji out of the meta

Reverting all of those changes would completely dumpster the hero. It’s a truly ridiculous suggestion.

She needs a nerf, but this is insane.

nah i dont actually want ALL of those changes reverted, just maybe pick 3 and go, but she wasn’t F tier before she had all of those buffs, she just doesn’t attract a ton of players especially at top level play, people are only playing her now because they have to

Maybe I misunderstood this line then. Heroes that can escape are generally the quick close range ones.

Those that can deal from range need not escape, but they certainly need to be less threatened by her.

Yeah, and those with good burst mobility (Genji or Tracer) should in no reasonable scenario be Frozen by a Mei if those heroes are played correctly. But close range heroes like Doomfist (who while has burst mobility doesn’t have the ability too well to get away to a safe distance from a Mei) and possibly Reaper should be more at risk getting trapped (unless they can out damage the Mei).

Making the hitboxes is a neat idea, but I don’t think toning down the damage would be smart. Mei already has a very low average damage, and as a DPS’er do I think she should at least he able to deal decent damage. Because of this do I think it’s better to touch her primary fire instead.

Her self healing is 150 hp, but I’m not sure if toning this down would be smart either. It’s worth the testing though.

There is a pretty interesting story behind this.

Mei was originally designed to be an anti-mobility hero, which is also the reason why she lacks mobility herself, but players and devs learned quickly that Mei couldn’t do this well because of the fixed mobility speed and distances of some heroes.

Instead did they learned Mei was better at disrupting tanks, and the devs even buffed her in the past so she could do this better.

She went from anti-mobility to anti-tank.

This is true, Mei is intended to disrupt the tank line and does this very well (sometimes too well).

And they’re generally not. But her presence does deny them that space just by being there; which is fine and working as intended as far as I’m concerned.

The problem I think we agree on is that those who can function outside of that space still can’t deal with her, and she clearly offers too much value even against compositions that would try to exploit that.

Exactly. Mei I consider to be a emphasized utility hero much like Sombra and Symmetra, and she is probably the best Utility hero out of all three. Right now, long range damage is still having trouble being able to shoot at a Mei (mostly due to things like barriers, Sigma, and the likes). One could say then, nerf Mei’s survivablity, (health pool, cyro-freeze, wall HP), but then she won’t be able to win even close range 1v1s against Reaper and Doomfist.

Some have said, make her an off-tank, and that is an idea, but it would require a major overhaul to her entire kit I think in order to negate even more damage, and I don’t see that happening.

I think the changes she needs is small, slight nerf to slowness, and the ability to escape a little faster afterward. Maybe nerf the wall HP so that there is more incentive to break it quick to try and save a trapped teammate before they are killed.

If only she didn’t have the strongest barrier in the game herself. Or indeed two of them…

As for Sigma he’s a whole other thread.

i don’t think sigma is that bad, hes oppressive now but after double shield he’ll have almost no viability

Wanna bet money on that?

Reverting all of those would just make her useless again. If anything, maybe tone damage down on M1 since it got buffed in the big beam update since its technically considered a beam
