yes and thats a problem in of it self
…blame the hitboxes, not the abilities…?
Actually moira beam the character hit boxes are changed from normal hitboxes, they are almost twice the size.
and thats the problem and why people in low ranks call her op she don’t really need to
aim
Tbh this one is not only about the hit boxes but also the projectile speed & damage. and ofcourse as the results - the comparison…
For a projectile it’s small, but gravity effected projectiles are actually easier to land then most people think… (I mean, there are only 2 heroes that use gravity effected projectiles that can also headshot as their primary or secondary fire…) - probably due to the fact they stay around the same height on average (slightly up, slightly down, but it doesn’t have to be the shooter height unlike hit scan) due to gravity - which allows them get easier headshots when combined with their projectile size…
Then add the fact Hanzo’s arrows are also much faster which leads to more accurate shots.
and the fact that projectiles are bigger than hit scan so even if his projectiles are small in comparison, they are still big against the more common weapons…
and the lack of reload which allows him to spam random places…
AND the fact that when you do get hit by a headshot, it’s an instant kill.
This combination is what makes Hanzo so annoying do deal with if not played correctly against him, most people just don’t always understand what is the problem… they know there is one just not what it is exactly.
For Hanzo it’s just that being instantly killed is already annoying enough. getting instant kill by an arrow that wasn’t even aimed at anything is even more annoying…
Source: Trust me bro
Big hitboxes make sense when each character can jitter around the map like a possessed puppet due to the lack of movement acceleration.
Well you will be outright surprised by the hit box size Reinhardt pins can be.
And the rest of the time there’s no-regs on it, where you hit someone, it even plays the sound, and nothing happens.
Hitboxes for everything are pretty s.h.I.t
lets not turn the game into a boring snoozefest tactical shooter.
The game is fun cause of mobility and also i dont mind sleep dart its pretty hard to hit even with its size unless its at a tank.
Literally the game Overwatch is based on - Team Fortress 2, has movement acceleration, and the game Team Fortress 2 was based on had it.
I will be honest here as much as i respect tf2 it was nowhere near fun or diverse as overwatch even in its current state.
The fact that Overwatch has basically zero internet presence outside of “Blizzard bad, Overwatch bad”, hated streamers, kill compilations, or whats left of the dead 2016/2017 memes of the game says otherwise. Especially in contrast to how going without seeing a tf2 character or reference nowadays is basically impossible. Imagine if valve actually supported the game on top of that, Overwatch would be dead tbh.
It is. Nearly every character has a michelin tire man hitbox way bigger than the character’s model that you can see.
That said, the hitbox on sleep dart is larger than the tiny dart model you can see, but not crazy big. Its similar in size to a lucio or zen projectile iirc.
I’d like to see them a bit of acceleration when pivoting. The adad strafe has always been a bit cheesy.
Ana got in OW2 unnecessary nerfs (sleep and no scoped size) + bugs.
Had a vouple games where sleep dart went between kiriko body and her arm (made screen shot from replay) and nothing. Or Genji ulting me and sleep dart went almost so close it went through him etc. Second kind of bugs are sleep dart just somehow dissapears in rein swing or so…
And tf2s hut boxes are worst huntsamn aros head shoting from the chest
Just shoot between tracer’s legs in practice range. Pretty easy to tell that Hanzo’s arrow hitboxes there are clearly bigger than Ana’s unscoped darts. if there’s inconsistencies between practice range and real gameplay, that’s an issue that should be addressed, along with all the other issues this game has.
Sleep dart is on a really long cooldown. I hate people comparing it to Hanzo’s arrows… they’re not the same in any way.
Sneeze on a slept target and they wake up.
