With the new health pool increases, Junkrat will no longer be able to do his mine m1 combo. Thus I would like to petition a buff to increase the direct hit damage of his primary and the max damage of his mine up to 130 damage from 120. This would allow Junk to still combo kill most dps.
i think they want to remove these look at genji cassady and hanzo. 2 lost all their combos and hanzo lost his one shot. so do i think he needs this buff yes will he get it probably not
How about we wait to see what the projectile size increase does for the Rat before we overbuff him
No thanks weāre trying to get rid of one shot and instakill combos
Whatās the point of arbitrarily giving back his one shot combo when the point was to reduce burst damage and change breakpoints
The entire point of health pools going up was to nerf burst damage like Junkās touch of death combo.
Without his combo junk is trash tier. Heās in the same boat hog was in when they took his combo away. Thatās the problem when you create heroās who rely on combos to be effective.
Nah. A 50hp increase in health plus the new damage passive just makes most DPS heroes require an extra shot to finish off from Ratās perspective. Plus thereās also his trap which could take off 1/3 of their hp.
yeah, uh, nah, not really
Iād vote for it, but seeing how they removed hogās combo, unlikely.
Junkrat still has value in the art of spamming location without LoS (which is a very effective tactic if playing on Offense in Escort/Hybrid)⦠And those projectiles he spams still hit very hard. Just his ability to do more damage will shine the moment someone forgets about the trap and gets caught in it (most likely Tanks).
Junkrat never should have had a one-shot combo when you donāt even need to aim for it.
Junkrat needs a rework, not a one-shot.
Forgetting so easily that fast kills are what some heroes are balanced around.
And thatās not healthy. Having his viability hang on by the thread of ācan he one shotā is just flat out bad design.
According to you.
Widow and Hanzo are also like this.
As someone whoās played a lot of Junkrat, and played AGAINST a lot of Junkrat-no. One shots or insta kill combos are incredibly frustrating, unfun and get real old real fast.
Which is why the changes are coming in. Iāve never been a fan of those sort of things.
Yes in OW2 they definitely are
PSA: THE TERMS 'ONE-SHOT' AND 'COMBO' ARE AT ODDS WITH EACH OTHER.
Itās either a one-shot, or a combination. The major difference being that a combo requires more setup than just aim and click. Both can be considered āinstakillsā.
That said, Junkrat has a tier problem. Heās a noobstomper because they donāt stand where they should/donāt often have the mechanical aim to kill him, as well as gutting his combo will destroy him in higher tiers of play, as it is required for him to be even a little viable.
I get that people hate Junkrat, but he doesnāt deserve to be gutted just because most people want to stand wherever they want in this game. We will have to wait and see how things go (higher tier players will know or adjust to go after softened up targets). His frag launcher has had its projectile size, speed, and bounce # changed multiple times since OW1 so weāll need data to see how heās doing with the health buffs.
Generally Iāve felt all burst shouldāve been toned down, with perhaps Junkrat being the only exception. I thought he could always use a % of his HP as armour, but this would make him even more a monster in the lower+console tiers.
Perhaps my personal ideal is he gets more bounces or better ricochets back along with the projectile size change so thereās more interesting ways to bank shot like in OW1.
Iāll also see how the projectile size increase works for him.
This could make him noskill, cause the low tier spamrats will benefit the most from the projectile size increase and the assassinrats will be nerfed hard from the HP increase.
Idk. This is perhaps the way of the casual games what some people claimed in this forum.
Iāll see if this change really works and revitalizes the gaming experience among casual players.
It will. This change obliterates his skill ceiling while hard buffing him in ranks where he doesnāt need the help.
So youāll see the same metal ranks celebrating a nerf that doesnāt impact them crying about him being overpowered as soon as this goes live since they still wont be able to turn their monitors on and step out of the way.
Itās the exact opposite direction they should be going with his kit.
Wont change anything for junk.
The projectile size wont suddenly make junk land all of his shots in a row on something else than a tank.
Also by the time you land 2 shots and a mine you are either dead or the target got saved
