Beat doesn’t last long but gives instant value and the only counter it has is EMP and can be used against a lot of ults or just for aggression sometimes (not a good idea unless OT), trans is a guaranteed value because zen cant really die during the whole time and the only thing that really counters it is anti and one shot heroes, Rally sure gives you a chance at being on the offensive but can easily be shut down because brig can still be killed easily, also we are not really in a meta of sustain damage that armour gives a lot of value, its mostly heroes like ashe and mcree everywhere that have burst damage which aren’t really affected by Armour that much. Also considering that it has the 2nd highest ult cost in the game. Repair packs on heroes like genji and tracer is OP simply because of their mobility and small hit box making them harder to hit and with the ranged buff tracer got she cant really be countered easily unless focused by at least 2-3 players
Also the flat 20% reduction is actually worse for certain heroes than the current reduction.
Genji, who didn’t do high damage for example, would do worse against armor than live.
There are a lot of ways where this suggestion has a negative impact on heroes but the person suggestion (constantly pushing it) won’t hear it.

Armor packs on divers is not really OP, this is merely people not liking those characters being more effective. I mean that is the point of armor… maybe armor needs a slight reduction, but given all of Brig’s other limitations, trying to shut down armor and rally is in my opinion unwarranted. People need to take their own advice at top tier and “git gud” for a change.

No change: 30-5 = 25. It does make him worse.
And there are more interactions like this. As well as certain heroes that armor is supposed to restrict a bit to make dealing with their high burst potential become stronger.
And we know what happens when those certain heroes get stronger, they tend to wreck ladder.
Look, I agree that we need a mechanic that resolved issues for high, single hit burst damage. I don’t think your suggestion is the right one is all.

By the time a 20% change would go into effect, it would be 30.
I just picked up on your specific statement of saying “worse than Live”
Where it would be +1 better than Live, but -1 worse than when the buffs go through on Tuesday.
But Genji would probably be better off with a Dive focused meta anyways.
I was just glad when they changed the armor packs from instant armor/hp to a heal over time effect. But I wonder what this new change will include.
I agree with you in principle but not in application.
Realistically they are going to have to do SOMETHING that affects BarrierTanks at close range.
(Or something truly complex, like 1 barriertank per team)
And this is a lot more agreeable than something like taking a chunk out of BarrierTank HP, then giving them 20% headshot resistance.
Where as the other Tanks that have armor, are DiveTanks, and I got a lot of Dive buffs in mind.
Primarily, that Discord would ignore Barriers.
Which would make it so that Genji is putting out 31 damage on Tank Armor.
But giving people armour is strong. Maybe have it do something else that kind of acts like a morale boost to the team. Giving them a speed boost and another effect like I mentioned such as maybe slight damage buff or something. I bet that wouldn’t be as strong as 700hp or 300hp/s healing, and nano can save a tank so easily or buff the heck out of a damage ult and destroy enemy teams.
tbh i still find rally very bad simply due to the fact that its basically extra HP because people still get one or two shot easily because we are not really in a state where sustain damage is bring used alot. If they change the rally, they can do something like enhanced abilities, speed boost or something
Yeah exactly what I said. Rally just sounds more like a morale boost to Brigitte and her team rather than just giving people armour. I would like to see repair pack being changed though.
