Ana’s popularity has to be considered. Having said that though, bionade to 3 seconds instead of 4. 4 seconds is tooooo long.

this is why both ana and widow are hard to balance, they have a really high skill cap and the greatest players excel with them. i really think they shoulda just left ana and widow along a long time ago and just buff everyone up to their level

You know it’s weird, because if people thought skill is a reason for heroes being OP, then why do pros ask for nerfs to Widow, Ashe, Tracer, Hog, Lucio, and Zen?
Although granted, people wanted Lucio nerfs in GOATS and Zen nerfs in dive in their metas
You would think that the people most interested in winning games are the pro players… it’s almost like they play this game for a living or something. I’m sure that none of them would be interested in playing heroes just because they are fun to them, simply because they play whatever can help them achiev victory and not what they find fun or not. If Ana was as “overtuned” as the forum claims, they would be the first people to abuse such and OP hero.
Besides, even if I wanted to ignore OWL, like you are doing, I just can´t because the people behind the balance changes kind of care about OWL… which means that it is pointless if we think that OWL should or not be taken into consideration when talking about game balance. It’s not up to us to debate if OWL should or not matter.
I never wanted bap nerfs because hes SKILLFUL AND FUN TO PLAY, but imo ana is still more reliant on fps mechanics than bap is as bap has his gun and thats it. Ana has projectile aim, hitscan aim, quickscoping, sleep trick shots, nade trick shots etc. Shes a skillful hero
I’m getting really tired of all the DPS and tank mains asking for supports to be nerfed. They wonder why their queue times are so long… Moira, Ana, and Lucio are the only viable supports right now in this meta in low tier. Anything else is just trolling.

Ideally I think we should nerf her in such a way so as to allow her to keep her skill to output ratio.
For instance, they could shrink down sleepdart’s projectile size so it remains a skillshot but… more of a skillshot. Something similar could be said for the AoE of bionade, make it more of an aimed ability rather than just something you look at the ground and press e with to win close quarters fights.
Or, say, reducing the duration of her abilities instead of their potency, so you just have to act faster.
Or nanoboost could be gutted, as there’s really nothing interactive or challenging to speak of with that ultimate. There’s no reason for it to translate into nanoblades really given how it’s legit just press q.

This is how spoiled Ana is, the very idea of her getting the same sort of nerfs that other heroes get would “ruin” her but does the same apply to all the other heroes? No.
Why is it every time everyone tries to talk about Ana, then every other intricacy of every other support hero is listed with no comparison or contrast with Ana. It’s a really obvious stalling tactic to distract focus to other heroes.
Lets talk about how Ana’s bionade is not a skill shot at all. It’s stupidly easy to throw the nade within 4m of a target to secure anti-healing.
There’s no reason you couldn’t change it so it was a skill shot such as the anti-heal only applies on a direct hit, not the 4m splash radius.
Or, at the very least, the power of the bionade could falloff with radius. Like literally every other AOE in the game, other than dynamite (which is also MASSIVELY contentious).
It is a skillshot that requires good gamesense and is easily counterable. Its not insanely difficult to hit being aoe but its easy to mis time it, and frankly its easy to counter
She could use some QoL nerfs but nothing to drastic that she becomes trash tier. Mercy is viable as is Brigitte but sometimes the meta’s don’t honestly favor them.
If a no-windup, fast projectile with a 4m radius and no falloff is easy to miss…
are there any non-easy to miss aimed attacks?
Seems to me bionade is mechanically literally the easiest aimed ability in the game to use, no?
