Its 2020, why do we not have team status on HUD?

I’ve been begging for this since I saw it in Uprising. It would let us make better educated decisions and gives supports and tanks more agency

The stupid part is that it’s in the game. Blizzard just doesn’t want to display it.

Even simple stuff like player HP can be see the OWL hud and Archives events, but we’re not allowed to see them because Blizzard’s designers have their “vision” of how the game is supposed to suck.

pressing tab to check team stats is even more screen cluttering then having the information on top of the screen.

it is really ironic when you think about it…
seriously, why do we not have a team information option already?

This and a scoreboard. Let’s go.

Why? because there’s no entertainment value in a QoL change like that, not for OWL.

After playing a lot of Junkenstein and Archives modes, I’ve noticed that healing is always more reliable when your healers can see everyone’s healthbars at the top of their screen… It makes healing a lot easier to learn for healer newbies in general.

Put the status bar in the main game!

Please do this, Blizzard. There’s literally nothing negative from this, all positive.

Just general quality of life UI updates would be great. Things like Baptiste’s immortality field? Would be nice to just have its health bar on my screen at all times.

You mean like supports can see the HP of allies?

That’s for overwatch 3

We should be able to put key ability cool down boxes closer to where we are looking instead of forcing them all into a corner. These are all easy things, but were locked down and not considered for “competitive” reasons in OWL which never made sense to me.

doesn’t help there’s one for spectator mode that’s so good and it would help so much. I mean, to see enemy respawn and allies ult status you gotta tab all the time, so why can’t we just have it on the top?

only if your allies are in los and you need to manually look in their direction. With a proper hud a peak to the top left and you’ll instantly know who is in danger

The only negative I can think of is that it might obscure too much of your vision. But maybe you can work around that somehow. I have the idea that you could toggle it on and off during games by the press of a button, similiar to pressing tab, just that after you press that button it will stay on screen until you feel like you have to see a bit more and don’t need your team’s information at that moment so you press the button again.

They’ve shown it can work in Archives, so you don’t lose that much real estate.

I’m glad a lot of people are on board with this idea.

They could literally just use the same UI that’s available in spectator mode.

We need custom HUD support like every single other esport ever made.

I’d rather get rid of all the visual clutter that I don’t need.

What does 2020 has to do with anything?

Also, you can see health of your team mates without hitting tab, you cannot see ultimate tho. However, team mates can let you know when theirs is ready, there is even a hot key for that.

  1. 2020 is just flavor text, for fun
  2. Yes, but only if they are in front of you
  3. That requires them pressing the button

I would like that. When I press tab, I feel like I’m taken out of the game, and I’m blind for a second even between fights.

This can simply be fixed by making it a toggleable option. It’s not that hard.
