5v5 isint that bad 6v6 was way more fun but I’m still having a great time playing
I would love this tank balance 6v6. Tanks should be feared. 
Yeah 5v5 is really bad with just 1 tank. Thats why I play OQ only and rather accept 3 tank games than one Phara/Mercy in role queue destroying everything in their way. Also playing DVA without Winston or only one shield just isnt fun for tanks.

I have no idea why people keep screaming about double shield when talking about 6v6. The meta had already shifted to Ball Tracer Zen Brig Dive, with DS (like brawl) being kept as a niche for specific maps.

Ill be honest, i kind of like it. Less to worry aboug as support. I think that they shouldn’t penalize players for swapping characters with reduced ult charge how much they do now. I think thatqith one less tank and how quick things can change hero swapping should be more encouraged.
All in all, solo tanking in OW2 is less awful than I thought it would be, it is still an enormous downgrade, but largely still playable.
My biggest problem is the giant gulf that opened up between the good dps and bad dps that makes the game bordering on unplayable for anything other than meta heroes.

I genuinely enjoy 5v5. I liked 6v6 too. No issues for me
hog was bad or mediocre at best…until kiriko cleanse negated all his counters, which was hard to predict.
Even with Cleanse, I think Hog would be mediocre in 6v6. Most of his value now comes from barriers being a mediocre choice in 5v5

The movement to 5v5 introduced as many problems as it solved. It’s not better or worse than 6v6.
The problem is that now the content vacuum that OW2 created is starting to show. We don’t have fun gameplay to distract us from the fact that OW2 deleted many of the things that made this game fun and unique, so it just feels like a hollow version of OW1.
With all that said, I would love to go back to OW1 where I could actually use Looking For Group. Now that I have to solo q most of the time, this game feels horrible.

Is 5v5 a mistake? The queues seem more futureproof, especially without LFG.
The source of most issues? Still eems to be the role-handcuffs, the rigging, the smurfing, or the push walking sim gameflow. I supported 5v5 (but not RQ) and expected something between 6v6 shields and 4v4 tdm.
We’re almost there, but the other issues are outstanding. Hard to put the blame solely on 5v5 when the rest of the game is an cash-grab pay2win shop. I’m 100% not afraid of faster games. But I’m 100% afraid of “engagement systems” and rigging that seems to affect i/o (aim, cds, hitboxes, ult charge, hps/dps params)…as well as matchmaking.
