Too Sexy, people can’t contemplate him without flipping out. We avoid those topics
Since people asked, I will add Torb and Bastion on the list for flankers.
Can be a flanker… but is more of just a dot in the sky who dies too quickly.
I don’t believe they should be nerf.
I am not the one derailing this thread.
Base on all of the replies, I still don’t understand why they should be nerf, the replies are vague, the reason to nerf them are vague, I still don’t understand.
But they all still come back to “we gotta nerf them, we just got to”.
And I don’t understand.
The only reason I can come up with currently, is that the people who wanted to nerf them are mostly support mains. That’s the only thing I can conclude based on most of the replies.
Close Support Pharah is terrifying, but you never see her in low ranks. She uses concussion to move around the map quickly, and flies REAL low.
I’ve only seen a couple of people who can pull it off, but, it is DAMN impressive when you see someone who can.
Too few people can pull it off, and her kit isn’t really set up for it, but hell it makes for crazy games.
I’m a support main, and I want Tracer picked more often in lower ranks. I just can’t see how they change her kit to do so, without making her broken in higher ranks.
I wish there was a way, since, she SHOULD be able to be played in lower ranks - with her pick rate, she may as well not be in the game down there.
i find it ironic that every rank you see players complaining about tracer like she is some sort of god that can’t be stopped same goes for genji. I am a low master player and started out in s2 on silver rank i have played a metric ton of games i have yet to face a tracer who was so good he could not be handled but more often than not the ability to use comms and call out said tracer/genji was the issue than tracer/genji being op.
Sure they can be good but not every tracer is kabaji/dafran and one clips you and i can’t stress this enough i have seen this a million times RUN TO YOUR TEAM NOT THE HEALTHPACK as support you are literally doing the flankers job by being isolated.
Lots of people Smurf her. It drives the hate.
People don’t normally run tracer at low ranks, so, when you see one it is often a Smurf.
I don’t understand this statement. Are you saying that there is no one in silver who main Tracer? Since I myself met a few silver tracer mains.
Her pickrate is so low in silver, so if you included the people who main her, and the people who smurf with her, which mean the total of people who smurf as tracer is very low.
If the majority of smurf is tracer, that even make less sense, that would indicate overwatch has very few smurfs in this game, since we’re talking about the third least pick hero in silver here.
The math?
How often do you get smurfs i am genuinely curious? We tend to only remember the bad experiences but lack off comms is the reason they thrive i have played my fair share of tracer and i am not a good tracer player but i often wonder why i get to kill the support because i takes me longer than the good tracers could. Meaning they don’t call me out i get ignored basicly does not mean i am playing an OP character.
What a joke. We already know there are tons of boosters and smurfs in ow. Dont kid yourself.
Or you know don’t shift the blame on the loss like everyone?
Same thing is true for healers/peelers, like Mercy and Brigitte.
Their entire job is to save their teammates and stop you from getting that kill you worked oh so hard for. Their job is to make you groan every time you get a kill, or to 1 HP, and press E and undermine all that badass aiming skill.
Because the design is really bad when the actual reality of the gameflow sets in. What I mean is while Blizz probably thought this would force teamplay, the reality is it does not. DPS is a very largely independent role, can confirm kills by themselves, don’t have many obstacles in their way to make up for bad teammates, whereas the other roles that really depend on teamwork are tanks and supports. This is why the OWL, Youtuber content, and the general popularity of the game relies heavily on DPS play. When you got good enough at DPS, you only really needed MAYBE a pocket healer and you would just carry the game. Is that teamplay? is that how OW is supposed to be? Many DPS Shills would say no, but deep down they know it’s the truth. Why play Tank and Support when if you were good enough you could just pick DPS, carry your team kicking and screaming through the finish line.
Then you got the whole Supports vs DPS war, one in which it got so bad, Blizzard had to add both Moira and Brigitte to the game ( a process which took a year of complaining) to not make the game abhorrent if you played support. This war is mainly between Genji/Tracer and the supports who die because their team cannot keep them safe, and at most ranks are prone to serious Tunnel Vision. So you play support and depend on 5 other people to play the game if there’s a competent Genji/Tracer flanking you. According to Seagull that’s not fun. What’s hilarious is when Brig came out, she made Tracer/Genji players feel what supports have been feeling for the past year or so.
Lastly, the balancing. Oh how funny it is. Because Ana enabled Triple tank and their star DPS streamer/pros/youtubers ( which is a vast majority of them) complained they literally dumpster’d Ana for a long time lol. Literally took people begging on the forums for her to get buffed. They release Brig and the same crowd complains, this time with Rein mains united, and they are well on their way to dumpstering her, in an extremely short amount of time.
Brigitte job was annoying them and look at what happened.
They go beyond annoying though. Annoying might be takes out a healer or sniper then retreats. Tracer and Genji don’t really do that, they get a pick then carry on as hardcore DPS out competing “normal” DPS in the ensuing team fight.
Their job isn’t simply being annoying. It’s a functional high performance DPS.
Well there you go.
The lower you go in ranked, the worse the call-outs and response to call-outs get.
If you’re a Gold player that tempoarily fell to Silver and facing a team with a Gold-level Tracer that also fell to Silver, that Tracer is going to be hell to deal with because it’s pretty much you, alone, versus her. But unless you are exceptionally better at your hero than she is at Tracer (which is unlikely since you’re both Gold), she will have an easier time killing you than you will killing her.
If anyone was around during the triple tank meta, sorry to break your bubble, but the main people who complained about Ana back then were Mercy mains.
I was there and I saw everything. I also get it that there are a lot of genji mains who asked for hero nerfs as well, but the main culprit for Ana was not them. Ana actually enables Genji.
That depends on who they picked.
If Tracer/Genji pick a healer, then they still have other DPS/Tanks to deal with. Sure, those DPS/Tanks no longer have one or more healers, but they don’t need those healers to kill Tracer. Most of them only need one shot on her. If they get a godlike/lucky shot on her (and a followup on Genji), then the fight is now 5v5 with the enemy team lacking a DPS.
I’m not saying you’re wrong, though. If the pick Tracer got was on a DPS/Tank, the five survivors are going to have a MUCH harder time evening the odds.
Why would Mercy mains complain about Ana?
