Is the dragon speed buff for hanzo... not a nerf?

Less time it spends zoning and also less time enemies can be in it since it’s moving faster.

Genuinely seems like a nerf lmfao. If you want it to be better… just buff the damage. It’s a mediocre ultimate ability, that got hit by global HP increases. You buffed reaper’s ult damage flat out (and also gave him faster ult gain on top of that)… just do the same for hanzo.

That’s because it is.

People seem to forget that armor no longer reduces dragon’s damage, translating into a 42.86% damage increase versus armor.

That’s cool… this is still a nerf. I’m talking about this specific change. They made this and called it a buff… but it’s a nerf.

Who is it you think you’re killing hungarth?

This doesn’t help it in killing… like at all? People can still just move to the side all the same.

If anything, the faster it goes, means the less time people are able to actually spend inside of it, resulting in less damage. With now less zoning functionality.

You two need to touch up on your reading comprehension.

Hungarth you can leave the sauce at the door. Who is it you think you are killing with this hanzo buff. I’ll wait.

thats because it is a zoning tool, what other purpose does it have?

If you could comprehend what the series of letters and punctuation I’ve strung together means, you’d clearly see I make no mention of the ult being good at killing, just that they’re moving it in that direction. You can’t make too many changes at once, especially in a midseason patch that’s usually reserved for minor adjustments. And considering it does a lot more damage versus armor, buffing it further risks breaking it.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

That does tell me everything I needed anyway.

so it is a zoning ult is what you are telling me
the speed buff doesnt even achieve its intended purpose, so it is still a nerf

Arrge has a vid on it recently. I haven’t played Hanzo but, he got kills with Dragon at least.

Enemies do die faster it seems, or at least die easier. He seemed surprised to be getting kills with it a couple times.

So it seems like it’s trading the zoning aspect for more kill potential.

I still think Hanzo needs reverse fall-off to complete his buffs. Make him 1 shot 250hp targets from 40-49m, and 1 shot 300hp targets from 50m onwards. Would probably need to lower the arrow hitbox though because that would delete tanks way too easily.

For an AoE DoT, going faster is a potential damage nerf.
You want the target to be in the AoE for as long as possible.

yeah the devs were kinda dumb with this one. Making the ult move faster means it hurts you for less time it feels like a bunch of interns are running the game at this point.

I feel like it’s a buff in some scenarios and a nerf in others. But definitely not a full on buff.

It is both a buff and a nerf in different ways. I think most people would argue that it’s a net nerf, though.

It’s a buff in the sense that moving faster means its harder for people to react to it, so they’re more likely to get caught in it and take damage. It’s a nerf in that sense that it doesn’t last as long, so it does less total damage.

You literally said “They complain about a buff that’s meant to shift it more toward killing”

My response is perfectly adequate… “This doesn’t help it in killing, at all.”
