Ideas to rework Mercy

This is a collection of ideas to change Mercy. In this thread, I will not discuss if Mercy does or doesn’t need a rework.

Here are all of my ideas so far:

Single Target Valkyrie

I enjoy playing Mercy as she is now. However, I would still like to see changes to Valkyrie. Most suggested changes I see for Valkyrie usually involve the removal of chain beams for a more powerful single target beam. Below I’ve listed 3 ways in which single target Valkyrie could be implemented and 2 ideas with a new ultimate: (Chain beam healing is removed in all of these ideas) Idea 1: Valkyrie remains the same but with single target 80hps. Valkyrie: Instant rez and single target healing

I think Valkyrie could make resurrect instant again but would no longer have chain healing. Mercy would only be able to heal one target at a time. Instead of 60 hps during Valkyrie, Mercy could heal up to 40% addition health based on the missing health of an ally. Allies with lower than 50% health would be healed for 70 hps. Allies with lower than 75% health would be healed for 60 hps.

Mercy:

New passive: Life Link

All buffs Mercy receives from teammates (such as healing, damage boost, speed boost, damage reduction, armor) will also be shared at 30% value with her beam target. For example, if Moira heals Mercy with her orb (50 hps), Mercy’s beam target will be healed for an additional 15 hps. This also applies to Mercy’s self-healing passive, but would only a be shared when Mercy has taken damage.
However, 30% of the damage Mercy takes will also be shared with her beam target while life link is active. If Mercy or her beam target dies while life link is active, the other will take 30 damage.

Supercharger/Blizzard inspired Valkyrie changes

I still enjoy playing Mercy, but I personally would like Valkyrie to be changed to work similar to Supercharger or Blizzard. Valkyrie would no longer have chain beams. Instead, Mercy would deploy a destructible drone or throw her staff to the ground to heal allies within line of sight of this or in a radius. This would allow Mercy to boost her healing for one ally by stacking this with her normal healing beam, or she could damage boost/use her pistol while healing allies within this radius. Dama…

Mercy could choose to resurrect a target instantly or resurrect herself with the cost of ultimate charge. I’m not sure if 50%, 75%, or 100% charge would be needed to use resurrect. It would still have a 30-second cooldown and cast time if Mercy chooses to not use her ultimate charge.

Paladins (Furia) inspired changes to Valkyrie

Mass Rez could be a second Ultimate

Mass Rez could be a second Ultimate in addition to Valkyrie. This would be similar to Symmetra 2.0 with Shield Gen and Teleporter. Single target Resurrect could stay as a normal ability with a cast time or be changed to something different. I think this would make most people happy.

Mercy Rework Idea

This idea is mainly inspired by Ying, a healer in Paladins. There is a video linked below if you want to see Ying’s abilities. Mercy rework: Healing beam, Damage Boost, Guardian Angel, and Angelic descent are unchanged. Valkyrie and Resurrect are changed/replaced. During Valkyrie, successful resurrections could grant mercy invulnerability for 2 seconds. This means after the cast time Mercy will gain invulnerability with her resurrected teammate as she did with mass rez. This would prevent Mercy from dying after very risky resurrections but would still allow counterplay.
