9/10 they would just play the game normally to advance the free pass, with maybe an incentive or two to have them try the role/hero out.
I mean it does sound like the new hero is finished at the very least, so even if it was the end content of beta 2 plus the new hero. I think that would be good enough for an early release on their part.
The only hold ups I can think off at the moment would be battle pass content not being finished, or they really want to push a new map/game mode with the release as well.
You can try to make concessions all you want but facts are not changing: That prediction was wrong and Doomsayers throw a lot of predictions. Anyone can do that, that doesnt imply accuracy or proves anything 
We have played the beta, they are not.
Sure a meteorite might strike earth and destroy their servers etc but at this point, if something random happens, doesnt count for that “prediction”. That was a random claim thrown with no base but a “feeling of impending doom” and you know it.
One of many that failed ofc, but people conveniently forget that. Thats how it goes

Coulda shoulda woulda. Again those types of “prediction” don´t take any accuracy, skill, knowledge etc. Anyone can say anything.
Unless someone says “This is going to happen because this specific reason and this other specific factor” then word is cheap.
Means nothing, proves nothing.
I think we got the information about “heroes earlier playable with the BP” a longer time ago. The only thing that annoys me is that they are not automatically unlocked for everyone at the end of the season for all to play and STILL has to be grinded. Especially with JQ and Soljourn just from start this just feels bad.
They literally went in and edited the pack to remove the parts where it says that it will come out in Oct.
That implies it may not come out in Oct. The idea it may be delayed has NOT come out of nowhere.

So they remove wordings on certain articles and that implies the game may not come in Oct ? Thats HARDCORE reaching / grasping at straws.
I can say things like that too for free, just because they are “slightly related”. You want me to show you? here we go:
- Well since Kiriko cinematic was leaked, we might get some info in the next 2 weeks about the hero and the gameplay
- Now that they removed poor wording, they will delay the game 2 weeks and re-do the BP to make it more fair.
- Since people complained about the hero being on the free track, they will make it easy to unlock, like level 20 or less.
See ? We all can make “predictions” based on thin air. It doesnt take any skill. Just because the 1st part happened, doesnt mean the 2nd will too.
Except it’s not. They changed “no later than Oct 31st” to “subject to change”. Why would they do that if the game was ready and set to come out on the 4th?

Everywhere else, it says “Overwatch 2 Arrives October 4, 2022”, then also :
Upon launch in October, you will receive the following Overwatch® 2 in-game content: Season 1 Premium Battle Pass, two (2) Legendary Space Raider Hero Skins, 2000 Overwatch® 2 Virtual Currency (Season 1 – 3 Premium Battle Passes will be available for 1000 Virtual Currency each)
You are talking about below, that says:
Date of Overwatch® 2 launch timing subject to change. Overwatch® will be replaced by Overwatch® 2 when Overwatch® 2 is launched
So in the same article there are clear dates with a clear month specified, 2 times, but theres 1 print that says “subject to change”, ok.

I proved that this is wrong? The release date being a subject to change is about as related to the date not being Oct 4th as it gets. The reason I haven’t proven anything else wrong is because you have no other argument.
Funnily enough, you keep not getting it. The fine print means those dates aren’t set in stone. You still haven’t answered why they would’ve changed the fine print if the game was so ready.
