I think it's safe to say to finally buff the pigman

I just prefer to dump people in pits, and stress tracers when I hook them and wave to them instead of killing them.

I reckon that he is fine and people want him to be a “one man apocalypse” again. You can’t change the way he deals damage or how he hooks without it becoming worse for him or becoming too OP again.

He is honestly FINE the way he is currently, this is the honest truth not an opinion.
If he was terrible at killing people, as people suggest all the time, why was he a big presence in top 500 for comp DM? It’s a learning curve to play him well and your team in 6v6 does need to support the Hog, kill his hook targets! A zen discording your Hog hooks also ensures 200-250HP kills too from just the Hog damage via LMB alone if you can’t get your shot right to solo a kill.

I struggle with the 1 shot kills on him, I know where abouts to aim, but in heat of the fight, I think I forget, I either aim to high, or just don’t get that elusive 1 shot after a hook.

From what I saw from DM comp, and what I see at higher tiers of play, If it’s 250 HP target try to RMB > Hook > LMB.

If it’s just a 200 HP target Hook > LMB > Melee

You can always RMB > Hook > LMB a 200 HP target too I suppose but the RMB does take some skill or RNG luck imo. Plus you have to remember to do it is the problem, repetition in training yourself how to do the engagement.

I’m not a high tier Roadhog player but I do play him a fair bit in QP for fun, so what I can give you is my observations because I don’t personally dominate with him myself due to forgetting / not caring how to do it properly.

I find Reinhardt to be my tank of choice for attack on escort maps. Yes, he feels very strong to me and if it wasn’t for Orisa’s ability to shield and break barriers simultaneously I’d play him more on defense too.

My problem is, ya I’m a sombra one trick, but if I start practicing another character to get good on them, then I lose my skill on Sombra.

Like before I put in about 50+ hours straight on hog before the CC meta, and was good with hog, but it effected how good I was on other characters almost to the point I could only play hog.

:frowning:

Damned if I flex, damned if I don’t flex

Try imagining how investing time to get good on Hammond will fair for anyone. I have no idea how being good with him will translate with any other Hero in the game currently lol.

He’s the most mobile tank in the game right now, he can literally hit n run dive by himself and not die, while his team figures out how to play with him.

cough

That is until sombra h4x him of course.

I know. Hammond doesn’t feel like any other hero in this game, and a lot of the stuff you do instinctually on other heroes doesn’t seem to serve him well.
