i can’t believe blizzard can make fail streak like that by accident , and i begin to think blizzard don’t really care anymore about this game and just use it as a cash grab.
or they just try to make ppl quit the game like that they just keep the ppl who spend money on the game and the casuals. That can make sense because if overwatch is closed , i’m sure many ppl right now we’ll be like " oh finally we get rid of that shotty game" and don’t make ppl mad if they close the game even if the player have spend ton of money on the game.
so i think by the time , the game will be worse , more ppl will quit and when the game will be closed , not many ppl will be angry because they already left the game long time ago.
But for now they’ll just add more content you’ll pay for having access , ppl will play again for a bit and quit the game again.

That is indeed what Occam’s Razor would indicate.

i think when blizzard will get rid of overwatch , they’ll be free of the weight of this game , because i’m sure if blizzard is getting poooped on right now it’s because of overwatch.
How many times do I have to read “Overwatch is dead” until its true lol
I wonder who has had more funerals, Brig or Overwatch hmmm
At this point, it might be sooner than later; however, who could say, this zombified corpse has outlasted far greater games.

maybe thats the reason why the game is bad, is impossible anyone can be so incompetent like blizzard developers and executives, they did all of this in purpose, nobody ever thinked changing the game was for the better

i don’t say it’s dead , but i say for blizzard the game is dead long time ago even if they add new content , i think for them the game is dead since 2019 so even before OW2

Absolutely true. This is the best shooter on the market. It is just that a pig can only carry so much straw before it’s back breaks.

My tinfoil hat theory is that it is an attempt to devalue the game while microsoft is still trying to finalize the deal so they get less value out of the company probably due some under the table stuff with a rival company.
honestly i’ll not be surprised if they use overwatch for making money and use the money for creating new games , maybe they just try to maintain the balance between an horrible game and a fine game. Look at the new content or the new heroes , you need to pay for having access to that
All their games are in a terrible state not just OW.

It’s not as sinister as that… the corporate execs just want money. Right now. They don’t care for it to be a great game even though it could be.
multi-dimensional thinking. i like it.

even wow ? cause i know diablo 4 get roasted. But honestly who will be sad right now if overwatch get closed? maybe the streamers or few fans or maybe ppl will be a bit mad like " omg blizzard why you make the worst decision again " but if they bring up new good games they used to make , ppl will completly forget about overwatch .
blizzard is not about making game anymore lol

They’re about tightening the shackles and chains on their playerbase. A lot of the players seem to enjoy it though.

Overwatch is a unique game that doesn’t have much competition out there so Blizzard has been complacent in their quality standards. The decisions they’ve made last few months indicate they want to grow their playerbase but I don’t think it’s working. Player retention in this game is very bad (most people I know old and new to the game don’t buy anything or rarely log in). I’m guessing at this point they’re trying to squeeze out as much money from the fanbase before moving on. I don’t think we will ever see the conclusion to the PvE storyline except maybe in a comic or novel. Battle pass and shop have already been watered down with the drop in quality, reskins, and sneaky filler rewards.
Yeah, it’s pretty obvious that Blizzard does not have long term plans for the game. They’ll probably support it with a skeleton crew for another 1.5 years knowing full well that OW2 existed solely to bring in quick money for its first six months. Their decisions in recent years have indicated their understanding of the game and playerbase is messed up. The reviews are already in and there really aren’t any more hopium promises left to push onto suckers, either. This was more of a salvage job.

Yep except walking away results in a huge net loss for the company… as they are just desperately trying to recoup all the money they lost trying to force the owl to succeed…
Thats why they pander to the money so hard to the detriment of the gam
