These hog changes are kinda unfair. It’s really stupid that if you’re running away turn a corner and he can still hook you and you just die. Like it’s literally nothing you can do if you get hooked now. I already know people are gonna disagree with me but I just wanted to get my word out

Also, it didn’t feel very good for Hog when he successfully landed his long CD skillshot only for it to be broken just because, for some reason, in the OW world chains don’t bend.

If you got pulled then you werent around the corner, the hook still breaks without line of sight. They shortened the time it takes to pull you so you cant break it so easy anymore.

Not at all. Line of sight being broken still breaks the hook, but now you have much less time to break it. Before, running off the ledge and then being hooked would allow gravity to break the hook for you, now that’s less the case.
I like it.

also there are so many abilities that can bugger up a hook, before during and after(zarya bubble and brig armour for after), also you main ana who can just sleep or nade hog

It is genuinely insane that people opposed to the Brigitte combo are hot for Hog’s chain. I guess the difference is “skill” or something. Personally, it is easier to stay 6 meters away than the lengths you have to go through to play around hook.

its for the same reason that genji can animation cancel with swift strike… because it doesn’t feel good. how many people do u know that like getting shot from behind a wall because they don’t know what latency is and that they have to react in a proactive manner as opposed to a reactive manner if they want to be able to use it as an excuse?
Roadhog is usually easier to kill since unlike Brigitte he has no shield.

My only problem with the changes to Hog’s hook is that the hooked player doesn’t have any time at all to respond now. Before a good Moira could fade away from the damage before he could one shot her, or Ana could sleep him and possibly get away, making him need to use his hook a little more carefully. Now the cooldown between hook and action seems to mean if he gets anyone with 200HP they’re just gone because they have no time to use any defensive abilities.
I have no problem with the reduced cooldown, or any of the other stuff, I feel like this was an unintended side effect of it, as it seems they didn’t adjust the “stunned” feature of the hook if there is such a thing in game.
Note: I’m not saying this without basis, I did play a bunch of games with friends and even spamming my defensive when I was hooked the only time I was able to use them was when the hog messed up and wasn’t able to follow threw on the hook.

If you miss it for some reason mainly, or if you’re focusing on healing your team before everyone dies and he catches you somehow.
My point isn’t the fact that you can be hooked, my point is it used to be possible to get away from him before he could hurt you.
True, I did manage it more than once, but that’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying Ana used to be able to do it before he got his right click off, saving her from the damage. Now, you can still sleep him sure, but he’s already got the headshot off on Ana and killed her.
Right now Roadhog is exactly where he should’ve been on launch day 2 and a half years ago. I really don’t want to see him nerfed now that he’s finally evened out.
