I like the Sombra changes

Can you please keep the +75? I am at a near 60 percent winrate with her on live but a really low winrate with her on ptr because she is so much slower which causes me to get hit so much easier thus decloaking me and getting me killed. The ptr changes make her worse in a team fight. So if you are going to force them into the game at least keep the +75 otherwise her deaths will skyrocket and her winrate and ability to contribute to a team fight will fall short. The PTR changes make her too passive for what is supposed to be a DPS character. She already has no burst damage at least keep the speed so that we can somewhat play her with some value. A passive DPS is not a good DPS

I am fine with unlimeted invis i just wish that we could keep 75% speed boost for at least the first 4/5 seconds after using it.

The new translocator however is trash.
Every decent sombra had more than enough time before and almost never needed any more but now the enemy can simply destroy it and f*** your escape ability.

EDIT: They should at least give the translocator more health. 150/200 should be fine.

I am confused on why they give you infinite teleport and steath it completely removes sombra from the team fights because she either plays likes she currently does with less disengagement ( movement speed +translocater can be destroyed + audio cues for its location) or even more removed because she can spond camp better. It doesn’t fix her problem with engaging and confirming kills. Blizzard just remade a hide and go seek character (mercy 1.0) without the seeker baring widow ult, luck bump or lucky shot hanzo. Feels bad

Bruh…
We shouldn’t be that ridiculous. It needs a little health, so it wouldn’t be instantly destroyed, but that would be 30 max.

Yeah. The only problem with it was not being able to destroy it to repostion.

Sombra honestly does not seem stronger on the PTR. This is just a change in playstyle that prevents people from using her how they used to. Being able to destroy your own translocator is a buff, enemies being able to destroy it is a net nerf.
There have been no buffs to her damage which is fairly weak outside very short range, her hack which still cannot hack brigitte, her ult which still cannot hack brigitte, there is still a delay entering and exiting stealth, bugs are still there etc.
Overall this change doesn’t seem to really do anything at all except for annoying people who play sombra and making it seem like something is being done.

Sombra is a worse version of tracer for sure with these changes. Way too passive a character that’s in the damage category. Other heroes can play just as passive, yet have one shot abilities, high damage etc. Sombra just scouts - in an incredibly fast paced game where the enemy team can drastically reposition faster than sombra can move in stealth.

I see the Sombra threads have seemed to die down.

Are we all just accepting our fate at this point?

Because ‘defeated’ is definitely a feeling I would say I am experiencing.

I feel defeated as well. Its getting to the point w.here there isn’t even a point in continuing to play her. This change is so bad =(

Welp…I guess so; I noticed that all of a sudden people stopped talking about these changes since 2 days ago, and it seems to me that these changes are likely to go live within the next 2 days.

And yes, I do agree that PTR Sombra is a huge let-down.

If these changes go live, I’ll just stop practicing her and probably get less active on this game since it has a lot of problems besides this “rework”.

I’m very disappointed.

We have given them all the feedback we could. Now it’s their time.

We know how the OW team work by now, if they don’t speak or change something in the first few days of PTR then it’s going to go live.

If the Mercy community can’t make them see sense, what chance does the tiny number of Sombra players?

Between those and the continued problems caused by Brig and Hanzo that they refuse to discuss or acknowledge, what’s the point in even playing?

People gave their opinions, and Blizzard went quiet.
Guess now it’s just accepting the inevitable.

Indeed. It’s now fact, that telling your opinion to wall is more productive: at least wall gives you feedback.

What can we do? Blizzard primarily listen to their statistics, so the only thing left to do is wait for these changes to go live, and for Sombra’s pick rate to drop even lower then it is now. We’re going to see more Sombra changes, the only question is how long Blizzard is going to wait this time.

If they listened to their stats they wouldn’t be so determined to add 3 nerfs to every buff. They’d accept she just needs buffs.

They are way too cautious with buffing heroes, that are considered “annoying”, and Sombra has two annoying abilities - hack and invisibility.

Yet what are the two abilities they keep buffing in her kit? Hack and stealth.
My fear for Sombra is that they are pushing her in an “annoying but crap” direction so people will hate her and demand nerfs even though she’s not even that good…

It’s an interesting double standard how they are so cautious with Sombra buffs while they give Hanzo crazy buffs without a seconds hesitation…

That seems to be their goal - annoying heroes shouldn’t be useful.

So… another Tracer nerf? :>

Every hero is annoying in some way:
