I like the Sombra changes

I hope that’s not the direction they take her in.

Scouts are useless in a fast-paced FPS game. :confused:

I’ve put in ~25+ hours on this PTR build (with the new changes she got) and…just…sigh

I’ll drop her as my main. I can’t justify this in place of an actual DPS hero anymore.

Yea I just play on the Xbox so I’ve just seen videos and read reviews on the changes. I can imagine she will be live this Monday (tomorrow) with new sym so that will be when I get my first taste of new Sombra but I agree a scout route for Sombra in my opinion is no bueno

I’m not one who thinks she needs a damage buff as 20 base damage less than soldier with her rate of fire isn’t bad at all but something does need to happen.

In my opinion the big buffs would be lowering her reload time and increasing the speed at which she goes invis, making the hit hack count down 1 second over two and maybe a minor spread reduction, but honestly in my opinion she’s in a good spot. I’ve played about 120-130 hours as her now so and this would be what… change 3? Or 4? Since I’ve started playing with her. Imo med kit ult charge Sombra was too strong if you were good at flanking as well 7+ EMP’s was cray cray lol but yea these changes …not super duper stoked for but who knows might be fun to play but I don’t think I’d enjoy playing against it

Honestly, this is the one I want the most. And I feel like that’d be all she needs.

I’m all for “careful changes to keep a hero balanced” but it’s sort of strange how in one case you’re okay with insane buffs and an “Oh, he got meta-breaking OP? We’ll nerf him when we get around to it I guess?” attitude while Sombra gets a major nerf for every minor ‘buff’…

It’s “how to make the hero stronger while making the hero weaker”.

Symtomatic of different teams working on different heroes. Some teams are just more cautious than others.

Pretty sure they don’t have a separate design/balancing team for hanzo and sombra.

I dunno, in WoW they have several teams responsible for 4-5 classes each, I expect OW’s organisation is similar.

Of course he didn’t. I’m still surprised they made some PTR changes after announcing them.

But no, since then - quiet.

There are no new pro interviews hating on the changes because everyone is in a state where they lost all hope in the devs.

So these changes will go through as they are. I would be shocked if they didnt.

yea at this point sombra will just always suck. I don’t even know if I have it in me to continue with this game anymore

New WorseSombra’s thoughts:

The new changes are bs. She allready has too much downtime where she is basicly not doing anything important. Without her speedboost she will be played even slower and infinite invis, why should i want that? The time pressure of old invis is much more funny and exciting and the translocater allready lasts extremly long. Sombra will be useless because there is now need for extremle slow dps heroes with a low dmg output.

I find myself dying way more on the ptr than on live because the speed nerf. Constantly decloaked and one shot…
