I keep losing connection to the server randomly

I’ll be in the middle of a match, and then out of nowhere suddenly I lose connection to the server. It’s definitely not an Internet issue, my internet is working just fine before and after, and my latency doesn’t spike at all the way it would if it was my internet.

I kept seeing people asking in-game if others were continually getting kicked last week, I’m not sure if it’s still a widespread issue or not.

I’m not sure how to do anything about it, I tried Scanning and Repairing, and restarting my computer, and nothing seems to fix the problem, I just keep getting randomly disconnected every hour or so.

Any advice?

I’m experiencing the same issue! I posted a thread about it as well and it’s gotten some attention. Maybe look through this thread to see if anything here helps? Dc'ing in anniv patch

Same problem here. Started noticing it since the Anniversary patch.

Im at the point where im going to quit the game i get droped everytime i play comp and i keep losing points because of the S**t servers (im also in canada)

I’m sorry your thread has been taken over, but please provide network test data when experiencing a connection issue. No assistance can be provided without this data.

It’s preferred to only troubleshoot one player per thread, because it’s too difficult to track everyone’s different ISPs and PCs. If other players are on the same ISP as you, they can also contribute, otherwise they need to create their own threads.

WinMTR instructions (click to expand/collapse)

Follow the support documentation for WinMTR. If you’re unable to get into a game for the IP address, then use an IP from the table provided on that page that matches your region. Run the test until you encounter the issue again, or for at least 10 minutes.

Share your results in a reply:

  1. Click the “Copy Text to clipboard” button after you’ve finished the test per the instructions.
  2. Paste the text in a reply, then highlight the pasted text and click </> on the post editor.
  3. Break any links by adding a space before .com, .net, etc.

You know what Nicole maybe if you people at Blizzard would stop blaming the Service provider or the persons PC or the person for your servers screwing up, why not actually try fixing you them instead of blaming everything else. Also my lovely people this reply will be removed due to me saying something they don’t like.

Darksymphony We monitor the servers every moment of the day 24/7. If anything goes wrong we will post breaking news on our site, Blizzard app and on twitter.

At this time we have no outstanding issues in North America. We are not seeing a major increase in contacts about connection issues for North American players.

Connection issues are complex. First of all the same error is presented for a mulitude of different sources. Unstable Wifi, cellular connection, OS related issues, Network related issues(Qos) down to ISP and peering ISP issues.

The Technical Support forums are for troubleshooting and information gathering only. Please focus on that if you think this is a bug, you need to post on the Bug Report forums.

Thanks.

Just wanted to add that I don’t work for Blizzard, I’m a fellow player who was just trying to help you.
