…and have not gotten Yeti ONCE! I have even queued into matches where the matchmaker was STILL “searching” for a Yeti player even when I repeatedly queue “Prefer Yeti”, and in those matches the server just canceled the match as a draw.
Like seriously, is the game INTENTIONALLY programmed this way to keep players like me from winning the event challenges? Or is it to keep queue times low by ensuring there’s always enough Mei’s? Either this is a bug or brazen sabotage, what a crock!
I played it 3 times and the third time I got yeti despite definitely not picking prefer yeti because I do not know how to monke
Okay, what a bunch of absolute baloney nonsense. For some random reason the game FINALLY queued me as a Yeti, but as I played my controller kept disconnecting! 
I had to watch as the Mei’s ganged up on me while I was helpless to escape. I thought to myself great, just GREAT, will I have to queue for ANOTHER 100 matches before I get to try again???
Just as I thought I was going to lose, the game abruptly ENDED, and GAVE me the victory, even though I hadn’t even killed ONE Mei! 
EVERYBODY in the lobby was confused. I at least want to EARN the challenge, but I guess the gaming gods looked down at this BS and said “you know what, screw Blizzard, we’re giving this poor guy the W”. Thanks for nothing!
Protip: If you see the same people over and over, put 3 of them on avoid. It won’t match you on the same team as them, and it’ll force you on yeti, if you have anyone else on avoid. Enjoy exploiting the game.

Did 18 match as hunter until i managed to become yeti
…without using avoid as teammate exploit.
But i admit, prefer yeti is rigged. I can be the yeti after every 2-4 match as hunter in OW1. Being yeti after 18 match as hunter (or like OP, 50 match and didn’t get to be yeti) is ridiculous.
One thing’s for absolute sure, after this mind-numbingly frustrating experience I DEFINITELY won’t be playing the mode again for the rest of the event, way to turn off your players Blizzard. 
Yeah, same for me. I rather play GTA Online newest update than going about with this rigged yeti matchmaking.
Just leave til you get it. Stop thinking they care.
They should get rid of the “prefer Yeti” or “prefer hunter” thing and instead just assign the player who has gone the most games without being Yeti to be the Yeti. If it’s tied, randomly pick among the tied players.
That way, it would be rare that people would go more than 6 games without being Yeti.
I queued as Yeti twice, and got Yeti twice.
I went for a full Hour this morning queuing for Yeti and never got it, had to eventually resort to just quitting my matches the moment it started, only got yeti twice after that, but the Mei’s just absolutely destroyed me before I could pick up my third piece of meat.
I went like 20 games with no Yeti, came back another day and got it instantly.
