My account got perm banned when I switched a VPN node. I have written several appeals and they keep saying that I used third-party software in exploitative gameplay. Yeah sure VPN is third-party but if there is anything exploitative, that would be my 200+ ms game experience when Blizzard shuts down in China.
That is unfortunate, but you can take the hint and go support a game that actually wants you as a player instead. Silver lining and all that jazz.
Assuming your a chinese player, this likely has to do with your government and the fallout between blizzard and netease…
I hear EU players do this same thing without issues
Could be the VPN is tunneling you through a previously banned IP and retroactively banning your account
IP bans do not exist for a number of reasons, so that is not it.
If the VPN is at fault, it’s possible they might believe you’re account sharing if the location of the login constantly appears to be changing. Your best bet is to continue appealing if you think that’s the cause. Otherwise I doubt anyone on the forums can really help you.
You might be right about IP bans. Changing locations is a different story than exploit gameplays. I’m still unsure why the ban was given, and they just keep nagging about violating the code of conduct.
Well VPN does cause quite a bit of extra lag, and with the game being favor the shooter, I think you can see why that’s a big deal.
Sorry you got banned though.
