I kinda quit playing OW1 the last couple of szn’s and came back mid szn 1 OW2 (got placed gold). Since then
i’ve been focussing on getting to grandmasters on support and i finally did in season 2:))
it’s still so crazy to me that there’s plenty of people saying that you can’t climb due to the mmr being worse in OW2 than it was in OW1. I call this complete BS. I still think the reason people are complaining under this discussion is to shift the blame from their own mistakes to their teammates. People are too stubborn to realize that they actually deserve the rank they are in and will only climb if they improve on their mistakes. (This is just my opinion)
With this thread i simply want to encourage you to start looking what you did wrong and what you could improve on to climb out of your rank you’re currently in!
If you have any questions I’ll be happy to answer them!
I’ve read a lot, but it seems like rank is based on win/loses? In that case it’s a horrible rating since in my first games in comp I’ve been grouped with people that are clearly above my lvl and it makes the game no fun other than social with friends as I don’t want to be the person draging my team down, I’m still learning, and should be grouped with other players at my skill rank (which I don’t even have yet) than players way above.
the first few matches are always above your normal rank. Atleast that my experience. They’re trying to look what rank suits the best for you so they probably also place you in higher ranked games to see if u do good in those games.
I have decent aim, good enough to play Widowmaker consistently, but it’s not good enough. I’m still missing quite a bit of easy shots. So I’m wondering how to make my aim better.
I mean not all GM players have good aim but to answer your question on getting good aim you just aim train. Hit up the aimlabs/kovaaks for 15 minutes a day and you’ll see improvement within a few weeks
