I only play quickplay and im gold/plat and every single match the enemy team has masters or gm’s the matchmaker is dog so I’m finally to the point of quitting. I’ll check back in a few months to see if it’s still this bad but for now peace out.

If you only play quickplay you would not have a rank, and thus you would not have a rank, so in this case your assuming your rank…

I know my rank because gold/plat was what i stayed in during ow1 i refuse to play the garbage that is ow2 competitive.

Was high plat in ow1, ow 2 ranked system is about as far from crediable as you can get and still be (arguably) functional…

No based on what I’m seeing it’s not that the matchmaking system is bad more that it’s biased in a “pay to smurf” way…

Does quick play even use MMR? I thought that was for comp only.

I won’t lie I’m very unhappy with the state of the game too but at the same time I understand that blizzard is all about money to a point where they will Implement marketing measures into their matchmaking system…
And the more and more I think about it, I think they have a pay to Smurf measure within the matchmaking system. As Not only would it explain the crappy matchmaking. But also it would explain why players of drastically different rank can have comparable MMR
