How would YOU buff Reaper or Mei?

Everything you list there is just terrible and would kill mei. I must ask do you even play her ???

can we PLEASE stop with the “spray on the floor to go faster” suggestions? it’s so tiring to see. it’s more disadvantageous than anything. you’re looking at the ground and then you’d not be paying attention to what’s around you. then you’d be wasting ammo. please, for the love of all that is Mei, stop asking for it x.x

I think that reaper should have his wraith form similar to moira’s fade and I also think think that reaper should have a new ability for his right click

Make his wrath almost like Moiras where he is less visible to the enemy in which direction your heading but your teammates can see you

I made a thread before how they should give Mei more ice formations that she can use, the freezing aspect of her kit is already annoying enough… give love to other parts of her kit.

This is not a good idea.

On topic, Reaper needs armor piercing rounds to live up to his tank busting roll. It’s so obvious it’s painful. Also, his teleport simply needs to be quicker. I do think Wraith should be cancellable but I don’t believe Blizzard wants that to happen.

I think Mei is pretty good right now honestly. 1 v 1 she’s a monster, she can deny space and cut a team off. She has high HP, can self heal and cancel it. Let the buffs that have happened sink in and see what other changes do to help her before anymore tweaks.

I think for Mei when she ults and running around in the little circle her buddy makes that it would heal her a good bit also incease the radius of the circle

As a Zarya main who always hates going up against a good Mei, this actually sounds like a good logical buff. This, along with a slightly faster projectile speed would be really nice for Mei!

Mei
cryo-freeze - can have fall damage. (player jumps off high ground and cryos in the air)
cryo-freeze - with spikes, enemies take damage over time, when near.

These additions are minor and situational but it’s another form of doing damage with her passive abilities.

Reaper
wraith form - looks cool but I like the way it looks in the animated shorts where he’s ground level and fast

secondary ultimate, Grim Reaper - (Wraith form but could take damage, healing factor still applies) has ability to fly (like Valkyrie) with sickle melee weapon for a timed duration
I know this is a far reach but it’s just an idea.

I think those death soul’s should return. The soul’s could just move toward him within a certain radius. I play support, so, I think Reaper is strong.

Mei:

  • Let Mei’s Endothermic Blaster have some sort of effect on shields. Reinhardt’s shield shows icicles forming on it when it gets frozen, but nothing actually happens. With Brigitte now released, Mei literally has no way to effectively go toe to toe with her. Orisa was DESIGNED to counter Doomfist in every way with her abilities, but that doesn’t mean she’s a perfect counter to him in every situation. Brigitte is, so far, a perfect counter to Mei in every situation. Let us freeze through shields (though it would take twice as long for the freeze to take effect) or break them down faster.

  • Increased freeze rate based on the category her targets fall into. Tanks are massive and should take the most time to freeze due to their huge sizes. They should freeze at the same rate that all targets freeze. Defense characters should freeze slightly faster than tanks, Support classes slightly faster than that. Offensive characters are, generally speaking, the smallest and most mobile characters, and should freeze almost instantly.

  • Blizzard should instantly shut down any and all mobility skills of anyone caught in it (including Genji’s double jump, Pharah’s jetpacks, Sombra’s translocation, Lucio’s speed song, and Zeyatta’s ultimate), even for a split second. Just like Graviton Surge, escape would literally be impossible unless you can walk outside the effect area.

  • Remove some of the damage drop-off on the icicle OR increase its firing rate. I’m not saying make it a full-powered sniper shot that can headshot from across the map, but only being able to do 22 HP damage from more than 10 meters out is abysmally pathetic.

yes, I know that all of those requests would make her insanely overpowered, but that’s exactly what she needs to be in order for Blizzard to finally balance her. Let her have just one full competitive season as the top dog so that the meta is forced to change and Blizzard can tone her down a little. Most characters who receive overpowered buffs are usually toned down and only THEN do the devs have an understanding of balance. Just look at the Mercy changes recently. They nerfed her to hell and back and she’s still part of the meta because she’s still that good.

I don’t even play Reaper and I 2nd these buffs, especially with how Baguette is going to start throwing armor left and right.

I love it! No way the ability to freeze small groups of people will contribute to Brig more than it reins her in!

Reaper
-the lower health he has, the higher damage he deals
-instead of gaining health per shot, he drains health in an AOE around him and heals for a percentage
-Smokescreen cloud which makes him and his outline invisible in an area for like 5 seconds
-give him grenades
idk if any of this would work but I would love to see people actually be afraid of a Reaper like they’re afraid of a Genji or Tracer

so… you want to buff the most frustrating and “oppressive” part of her kit?

It’s like you just want the forums to get flooded with complaints so you have a reason to nerf her to the ground right after.

What Mei needs is a reliable damage source, an ult buff, and a cryo change so it’s not just a big neon sign that says “camp me”.

Mei players want buffs that won’t make people complain to high heaven, like they already do, even though Mei is rubbish right now. Why are all your buffs focused in on primary fire, which is undoubtedly the most frustrating thing to play against?

Tweak the fall-off damage of her rightclick so she can actually do damage on par with any other DPS hero, take away that ludicrously long cast-time on her ult and make it freeze slightly faster, add an effect to cryo to stop people camping you and have it reload your ammo overtime; that’s what Mei needs. What she doesn’t need is to be able to tilt 3 people at the same time so they all come running to the forums to complain about it even though in a 3 v 1 situation they should have easily killed her before anybody was frozen.

Could also cause her icicle to create small pockets of ice on the ground when it hits someone who’s slowed.

Kinda like an ice explosion that rewards M1/M2 synergy.

This has me curious. How easy or hard is it to make changes to characters? I sort of assumed they all involved diving into the code base, but it sounds like there’s a separate interface for this sort of thing.

make she hit multiple people, but only freeze 1 player, the others are only slowed, when she freeze 1 player make she cant froze another until the first one melts. something similar.
