How does anyone even play Mauga?

All he does is just shoot at the tank. There’s no mechanics, no gamesense, only ammo-dumping into whatever is closest to you.

Playing Mauga is a snoozefest, and playing against him as tank feels miserable. He needs to be reworked in some way to make him more engaging.

Edit: So many people see these posts and comment something like: “U just want ez wins!”

Tell me, then, why we have balance changes and reworks in the first place? Is it not to make the game easier with or against certain heroes?

It’s not that these people hate losing. It’s that they hate losing to players that pick the funny numbers hero and turn off their brain. It’s a little thing called “Unfair advantage.”

If something seems unfair, people post about it, and Mauga reaching his skill ceiling by just holding down both mouse buttons seems unfair.

If you think about it carefully, all tanks except for Reinhardt are unfun. If you are going to play an unfun tank regardless, it might as well be the one with the biggest chest. Moira knew what she was doing…

That gets it the most value out of itself.

Dva? Zarya? Ball?

You can at times go bother others on team too instead of trying to 1v1 the tank.

90% of the users (or forum users that rant) consider fun as

  1. I should win nonstop = Fun
  2. Others shouldnt play Mauga if I am on tank
  3. Others shouldnt play Sombra/Moira/Genji if I am on Support
  4. Others shouldnt play Pharah/Echo/Winsotn if i am on DPS so i dont have to deal with them
  5. I should go out, do stupid things but walk away from it
  6. Should get pocket heals from supports even when taking excessive aggro

Man, if all I looked for in an experience was the win, I’d never play a FromSoft game. All I have to do to trigger an Armored Core fan’s PTSD is say “Occupation of Arteria Carpals without cheese”.

Just go sigma.

Shield
Prevents his healing and damage
Eat prevents his healing and damage
Rock prevents his healing and damage

GG suddenly he’s useless

You can cycle these abilities fairly
Simply once you get used to him

Turns out, if you only shoot one gun at a time, it’s remarkably easy to hit pretty much any target from a distance.

So no, he’s not just used to shoot tanks lol. I’ve lost track of the number of times I set a mercy on fire and she retreats from the battle, giving us the edge.

the question isn’t ‘‘how’’ but ‘‘why’’, he does nothing but give ult lol he is a bigger throw than a bad Hog. he is straight garbage imo, not fun or engaging to play or play against. boring.

I don’t have the direct stats, but look at how a lot of tank players don’t enjoy Rock Paper Scissors or fighting Braindead meta tanks.

You would think people not enjoying a role would make them stop playing that role…

I can understand the character can be annoying and frustrating to play against and might need a little reworks and patches but he is a pickable character and I cant blame people for playing him.
