I personally dont know how anyone can have fun on Sym or Mei but im not making threads about it
Mauga is the longest range tank in the game. If you’re just sitting there shooting the tank while the back line is in plain sight you are wasting your potential and should be getting easily rolled. Sure you can sustain off the tank, but you can easily kill that Ana or Lifeweaver standing in the back line that thinks they are safe

I’m playing Runasapi in arcade a lot and every time someone goes Mauga the opposite team starts rotating through leavers. It’s guaranteed. Mauga appears and leavers start going next.
He is really disliked and in arcade there is no reason to stay for heroes like Mauga and Sombra (I leave for sombra, but only leave for Mauga if my team starts rotating through leavers).
Where are you getting this?

I always smile when I see these posts as if like every other character in the game is a world of warcraft class with 20+ different abilities.
Technically it’s Orisa, and Ramattra in monk form.
They have no falloff at all. Mauga has falloff at 30-40m.
I can pressure Widowmaker across the map on Ramattra.
He’s halfway bad design. Being able to poke as a tank is valuable. The crit mechanic and alternating miniguns is fun and engaging. Getting some overhealth for crits is reasonable. His charge ability is pretty great for repositioning, and the stomp being able to stun adds some thought to engagements.
Cardiac Overdrive is the real issue. He shouldn’t heal from damage dealt while pressing E (beyond the normal overhealth he gets for crits). They should remove this and increase the damage reduction to 60%.
This would stop the “shoot the tank to stay alive” behavior. It would also add more depth to Mauga’s kit since he could choose to use Cardiac Overdrive to stay in the open a bit longer and extend a distance poke engagement, while also retaining the ability’s usefulness in close range brawls.
As it is, his E is reactive (wait until low HP and close enough to enemy tank, then shoot). I think Blizz foresaw Mauga’s popping E to benefit nearby allies at any range engagement but it just doesn’t happen, mostly because he needs the ability himself to prevent from exploding and for his allies, avoiding damage is more important than healing in most situations.

If you’re just “ammo-dumping” into the enemy tank as you say, you’re not going to be very effective as Mauga. As someone else mentioned, use the fire gun to light up the squishies behind the enemy tank and finish with the other gun as they run for cover, especially target the healers for maximum effectiveness.

Tanking has been seen as rock paper scissors for a while now. This is not a new concept.
Brain too small to understand Mauga complexity. 
Vocal minority meaning a small percentage of the full player base that is vocal. Not the new definition you made up. While the large percentage is enjoying the game to where they don’t need to complain.

This is in reference to where are you getting your data for who does and doesn’t enjoy it…is your data from the forums…which is the vocal minority…nothing was ever said about the rock paper scissors.

and also that people tend to not play games they don’t enjoy…
Also, I never said that I only got my data from forum posts. There are countless Youtube Videos that state that Counter Swapping is not fun as well.

I was hoping I was addressing Hungarth regarding the Armored Core reference. Has the reply button/quote system changed? Honestly don’t know anymore.
Maybe I just enjoy too many RPMs that unimportant things just jumble away.
