Hoo boy this is bad (PVE News)

The point of the PvE is telling more about OW story, and that means all heroes. Widow will surely be playable and the point stands

The map favoring her doesn´t mean that her ult has any purpose against bots, and other heroes ults as well

Some heroes entire kits suck at a PvE scenario and that´s why we had skill trees to fix it

Surely we should all know by now that when Blizzard is silent about something it almost always means bad news.

Just so you aware. Not only is it limited and seasonal. It is battlepass related instead of a one time purchase as the idea originally sold.

had… had a good history. The Activision greed has taken full hold.

OW2 has been live for 7 months and they’ve never said anything concrete about PvE. I think people have been kidding themselves if they didn’t expect something like this already.

They aren’t even capable of that quality anymore do you see the recent events.

People in workshop make better events

Also i prophecised it

Remember everyone…“F2P means we will have more content”

But yet they’ve had clear development for the game for the past few years. Theres a reason Overwatch 1 nearly died when nothing happened from 2018 to…well, nowish I guess.

It just stings when there is clearly elements that have already been established. It feels like a cheap rug pull throwing all those resources away again (Looking at you, Titan)

Terrible.

I feel lied and cheated. 4 years i’ve been looking forward to play hero missions freely. I wanted to just chill with a character i liked in a highly repetitive gamemode, and now i got stripped by it.

Why exactly am i supposed to play this game again? They took everything i liked… events are gone, farming skins is gone, pve is gone.

I might do like kaplan and cut the bridge that connects me and this game.

happy no, sadly. the game i liked was killed for no reason, so all i got was a worse monetization system that made me drop the game and even my main, orisa, got reworked into a crappy damage sponge.

do i feel vindicated tho? yes, especially when people like you, poytheon and hyphen gave me so much crap, only for my worst predictions to still be better than what we got.

take the L and stop shilling for such a scummy company

actually, we all took an L, only blizzard won

Pretty much killed any interest I had. Was hyped cause what we saw in progress was pretty cool. We had a few completed trees too.

QP and arcade just aren’t as fun anymore and the fact AI is just, not going to get anymore heroes added, I think my hiatus is going to be extended indefinitely now.

Pretty sure the PvE was going to be Jeff’s second baby. He was the one who wanted it and his vision is what was worked on in the initial bits we saw. They scrapped all that when he left and now we’re getting something more along the lines of the new leader’s vision. Short, boring, limited time modes that they can charge a premium for. Shame, really.

And here I was thinking about purchasing Diablo IV, well, I’m out.

was diablo immortal not an obvious tell already? was the game being a 90 bucks + battle pass + forced online + forced mmo not massive red flags?

I buy the battlepasses anyways since I rarely play any other games. That won’t be an issue for me personally. I can understand why some would be upset though

I have faith. No need for the negativity. I just w any a good story line

Im feeling very bad and sad. I dont even know what to say.
I feel used, scammed. They just played with our feelings all the time, since OW2 was announced as GaaS. Did you remember when Aaron said “we let you down”?
It never changed. I felt down since OW2 was launched. I lost coins from weekly missions in season 1 that they didnt even refund. I lost my trust on them since then.

PvE was my dream… and they shattered it. Im just done, i think i’ll not play the game for a bit.

Yes, Overwatch was supposed to be the PvP game while OW2 was supposed to be the PvE game.

The whole point of them supposing to make a sequel was to focus on PvE. The original design was going to be OW2 was PvE focused while Overwatch remained what it was, with PvP crossplay between the two so as to not fracture the playerbase.

The inception of OW2 was PvE. Then they released the free to play update on OW, and claimed it was “OW2 but in Early Access,” they made a big point to mention that the PvE was coming.

They essentially cancelled development on Overwatch for three years to work on PvE, remember? The whole point was they would release the PvP part of OW2 (which they had only been working on for maybe a year, since they were supposed to have been working on PvE,) and release the PvE later. And now it turns out that “the PvE” is going to Archives missions. Something we already had in Overwatch.

Without PvE, what’s the point of calling it OW2 instead of just keeping it as Overwatch?

I’m still saying I’m no shill, just hopeful

Alas, the hope was wasted and that’s no fun. It didn’t feel like there was a reason to be fearful over the PvE as games take a long time to make, but this is Blizzard and they are Activision and so nothing is ever safe from terror.

They took fomo and pve and ruined it with the fomo and removal off the fun things like pve builds that make you feel powerful…
Idk why they did this. When the base game and pvp just gets old honestly. Not like all of us have quick insane reaction times or accuracy to be good with all heroes in pvp. In pve there was so much room and ability for people to play way much more. The pvp in this game is already filled with leavers and most of the time just backfilling into losing games, and the weird mmr.
