EVERY. Single time I play Mei, I have to tell my team to stop knocking people I am freezing, whether it be Rein, Hammond, Doomfist, Zarya, Dva whatever. It is already annoying enough trying to get a freeze off to begin with with all her nerfs. You need to wait for the perfect time and bait out abilities.
The number of times I’ve baited out a Zarya bubble, then I am just about to freeze her and then a Hammond rolls in, see’s I am freezing someone and thinks “yea lets just knock her to damage her more or slam her 50ft into the air” like that’s helping anyone on your team. All you are doing is saving her life. Or when I finally get the freeze off, I charge up my icicle then just as it’s about to fire into their face to get a kill a Dva flies in for literally no reason and knocks the 100hp hero away and saves their life to do like 50 damage. Stop it. Just stop. You are actively making playing an already weak hero practically useless when you deny any pick I am going to get.
Use 3 braincells before you use your CC ability and think “maybe I shouldn’t knock away a squishy hero that’s 1tick from being frozen at 100hp”, or “hey, that Mei has managed to freeze that squishy hero and is stood infront of them not doing anything for .1 of a second. They are probably charging up and icicle to HS them and get the pick. I’ll leave them be”. Not “OH LOOK A PERSON NOT MOVING, QUICK I MUST BOOP THEM”.
Reins, you lot are different because you are actually trying to help. Alot of you don’t know this but when you swing your hammer it nudges the character you are swinging at. Please, don’t swing at a frozen character until they are unfrozen or until Mei has got a shot off. Because you unintentionally cause Mei’s to miss their shots by moving them just out of my aim. The swinging is fine when we are freezing because it doesn’t nudge alot, but it’s enough to cause an icicle to miss.
As hanzo it’s infuriating, i would have lined up a perfect shot only for the junker yo blow them away or reddit to bhoop them, and the worst a sigma lifting of the entire team to safety just as your dragon is about to pass through them, enemy team even thanked my sigma.
That said i can’t count the number of friendly mei walls that have saved our enemies from my sniper.
Imagine being mad over that, when I have to tell our lucio to stop booping people away from the well and my hook. Like let me get the hook, or boop em into the well.
Never been a problem for me(but I don’t play mei) have had a few reins get environmentals with hammer on the eichenwalde bridge.
This Is good useful info. I bet you just made a Mei somewhere so happy right now, winning a game they would have lost had their Rein not glanced at your post.
It’s because it’s a combo of his big hitbox and his hammer. They come swinging in knocking the enemy with the hammer, pushing me with his hitbox and the enemy and it’s enough to go just off aim and deny the kill.
So you had a Lucio/Brig on your team huh? Yeah some of those cant stop booping on CD for zero reason at all. You can be literally about to freeze or hook them and they will just boop them for no reason, to a place that is safer … just to do it.
The amount of people doing this sadly is not going to decrease because theres no direct punishment or bad consequence to teach them not to do it.
