Look at your overall winpercentage if you at a 50percent win rate then you at your rank your kills doesnt matter its the impact of thisw kills and at the right im a plat sombra player i ranked from silver up there. Wasnt easy. And im trying to rank up a account i havent touch in years and it ranks silver close to bronze and i played sombra done everything i do in a plat game but nothing worked as i emped the tanks wouldnt follow up they just stand there. And it happened so many times i had me thinking. Im expecting these silvers and bronze players to play like a plat player so what i do doesnt work. My advise is look at who you killing and why and at what time is your team around are they dead or is there someone wrong with your machanics thats keeping you there because eventually you will get punished and unable to climb if you make a mistake. You need to understand overwatch to climb
Amother thing specialise its highly unlikely you good at genji widow and tracer just pick one or two me im best with widow ashe and sombra. Widow and ashe have transferable skill sets and tracking im aim im best with. I highly doubt you good at all 3 if you just pick one hero and constantly play that hero and figure out the problems you making with that hero you rank up

Assuming this is a fresh account and you placed first on support, your initial SR would at least be in a similar range as your MMR, which you played support with. If you actually have those stats, you either hard threw to Bronze when placing or purposely lost SR by throwing games after farming stats or leaving. OR, you simply bought/borrowed this account

My best answer to help here is an example, keep in mind im not a diamond+ player and i never claimed to be. I have fought GMs and lower and have a good feel for how a diamond+ should be playing.
Me and my cuzen play together off and on (he tends to get anoyed and throw sadly but dont we all sometimes?). When i play mccree, ashe, or even hanzo we tend to stay around 2100 ish (my aim is sometimes off due to a physical aliment) but we will hover right around that area sometimes drop into silver then back up again. If i play pharah (no mercy atachment needed) we can climb easy to 2400+…now im not saying im god tear with her by any means or “look how good i am”…but pharahs impact is much greater than mccree or ash or hanzo…or even widow.
Yes widow can one shot x hero easy and balance the fight in ur teams favor, ashe, mccree or any hero can, however think of what makes it hard or imposible for u to be fully afective.
Widow: if the enemy team has any game sense they stay behind walls, or they have 1 or 2 shield tanks ur afectivness gos down like crazy, so u arent totaly useless but you dont help cut through shields to help ur team, or u cant kill that one dps/healer/tank that is carrying their team. (ALWAYS try to find the player that is carrying the enemy team…call it out and try to focus them down fast and it will help u win too)
Ashe: similar to widows faults aside from fire…careful with fire it can help build the enemy healers ults pretty easy too.
Tracer: can be countered by a lucio that is healing his team all the time cuz unless ur one clipping everyone u shoot with perfect head shots like the pros…she dos to much trickle damage.
Those are some examples, a good one too is sombra…she can be crazy deadly by a pro…but unless ur a perfect headshot with her gun and ult at all the perfect times she is useless to carry with. Sadly if u want to rank up u have to play over powered heros or ones that will benefit ur team more. I suggest right now to use:
s76: with his new aim after a couple mins of playing him u can pretty much hold left click and snipe with him and win.
Junk:…spam it to win it, hur hur hes hard…(sorry i dont think highly of him as a hero) but just spaming like mad u can win easy…its stupid easy with him…
Pharah: if u dont know her to well its best to have a mercy pocket… and know when to switch when ur countered.
Mccree: can work well if u can land ur shots really good. Dont be afraid to use his right click when u stun a target to secure a kill. Its one of his abilitys if some gives u crap for it just tell them to NOT use one of their abilitys see how it cripples them, take it as a compliment that they are getting tilted and keep doing it more to them works great. (Note: yes its good for improving aim to not use right click…but if ur bronze-gold-plat…who cares?? I say better to secure the kill then let them get away and heal up and come back and kill u before ur stun is back up)
Ashe: is good but as u know can be hard to carry and push the point at the same time, even more so with widow.
Overwatch ia all about what hero u play and how easy they can carry at that time…again take this all with a grain of salt im not a pro i just go by what i have observed over the years ive played (sinse beta) and yes the game WILL give u crap teammates that dont know a brick wall from a rien shield, and throwers (so…soooo many throwers…), and put u against smurfs cuz the last few games u did very well so now its ur turn to carry…if u can. The game dos try to keep u around 50/50 as jeff said to us long ago…i dont think it forces it but it dos balance each game u play based on ur performance in previous games along with ur teamates performance in their previous games. (Its not a good system but its what bliz chose to use)
