I just want him to fire arrows not logs for a start. I’m getting pretty fed up with arrows that I go back and watch frame by frame to the point of ‘collision’ with my character model and they completely miss but the game is like “yeah, that looks good, give it to him.”

There is a hero called Ashe.
She can’t 1-shot but she deals 170 damage on a headshot. She is also hit-scan meaning her shots are instant.
Also her LMB can be used to immediately combo when she lands a headshot to finish off any 200hp target.
Basically what you are suggesting is for Hanzo to become a 10x worse version of Ashe.
Ashe is overtuned, but that’s beyond the point. First off, I’m an archer irl, I understand how it works, but we have to realize that game design is different than reality. And no, I’m no Hanzo main, I was simply spitballing ideas, no need to be rude.
Give him his arrow speed back but keep the other nerfs.

I absolutely despise the fact that mccree has been an absolute monster for months now, but the moment ashe becomes even slightly relevant, the nerf train comes flying in on the forums. She’s literally never been meta. She still isn’t. The ammo changes I could give or take, I don’t care, but the changes to the recovery after a ADS shot are nothing. She literally already had that before the changes, just the other way around (hip fire> ADS shot). I felt like she was already balanced (dynamite could have used a slightly longer cooldown), her problem was that she was completely out-shadowed by widow and that dipsh#$ hick with his dumb handgun.
A headshot does almost 300 dmg, that’s way more than widow

Not quite. There’s no difference to two-shotting a 200 HP target, but there is a noticeable difference in sustained damage potential.
Previously, a right click would always cost you .7 seconds of uptime. Now it can cost as little as .25 seconds.
This allows one to simple weave in a scoped shot approximately once every 4 shots at the rate of fire of an unscoped shot, increasing the max DPS of a full unload from 121 to 220, or 86 to 103 when including the 4.25-second full reload thereafter. The two are fairly close once including the reload, barely equating to a buff when accounting for the inaccuracy of the left clicks (especially just before each right click), but the tankbusting burst of that new capacity is devastating, at nearly the DPS of Storm Arrows and twice the damage dealt before that burst period ends.
Hanzo’s headshots do exactly 250.
Widow’s headshots do 300.
250 is not greater than 300; thus, Hanzo’s headshots do not hit for more than Widow’s.
Get rid of the cooldown on his double jump.

Before I thought you were in case of changes, so I went testing a little bit in competetive.
Turns out Hanzo is really good…
I think what scares a lot of people is the fact since his arrows take more time technicly his dps gets down a bit since it takes more time to do the same amount of dmg.
To me the character feels good. he does his job really well being a medium range sniper. (Widowmaker the long range sniper and Doomfist the close range “sniper”).
Personally I really hope to see more counters to him…
The game doesnt have enough long range in it and that’s a shame.
If I have to add 1 change to hanzo I guess I would decrease storm arrows duration to be 4.5 sec instead of 5. one second for every shot is just too much in my opinion…
Revert the projectile speed nerf and increase charge time by 15-25% instead.
