Hanzo is Too Powerful and Shouldn't Be a 3 Star Hero

If Widowmaker gets dived or there is any threat like Doomfist/Genji etc literally anyone at close range of Widowmaker she instantly loses the ability to snipe because she cannot hit what she cannot see properly. Those lucky flicks where a Widow kills a Genji who dashes right after her with Dragon blade happens 1/1000 times. Also Widow needs always a fully charged shot to 1 shot a 200-250 hp hero. Don’t forget that Widow reveals her position because the red sensor on her rifle while you basically don’t know where Hanzo starts spamming his arrows unless you get hit or killed.
And Hanzo’s arrows don’t have two modes of primary fire, with a consistent arc that doesn’t depend on weapon charge, he can’t one clip someone with shurikes+dash and get a cooldown reset and wallclimb+double jump+dash over the highest wall to escape to safety.
Excuse me? what about SA? the Gatling gun(arrow) in this case those speed arrows who can even Headshot?.

The annoyance with Hanzo is that all his crit shots feels completely RNG sometimes you shot an arrow and suddenly someone dies far away because how the arrow fall off a bit giving a small curve. Junkrat spam grenades have been always kinda RNG but those grenades doesn’t deal 250 damage actually you need 2-3 grenades to kill anyone that means you need 2-3 lucky bounces to get a non-rewarded kill.

Hanzo in other hand just spam from a little corner or behind his tanks all the game getting picks more constantly than Junkrat/Phara and completely replaced Reaper/S76 from the game.

His kit feels overtuned he has no drawbacks now because how easy can kill any 250 hp character and don’t get me start with how awful is trying to kill him as D.va or Winston who now gets deleted before getting close to him.

deflect last for 2 seconds and storm arrow last for 5

hanzo still has more damage then genji

one shot from the normal bow leaves tracer with 25 hp

hack does not cancel storm arrow and he still can deal to her 125 hp

doomfist is also a broken hero

hanzo can kill a winston in 3 seconds

if you saw the video I uploaded earlier it took me 7 seconds to kill a d.va.

can still kill him in 5 seconds

hanzo have way more mobility then widow and that means that you can easily get close to her and killer her

you can use your double jump to get away

its easy to doge and hanzo’s arrows are big as phara’s rockets

way harder to aim has damage fall off and does less damage

also hard to aim and does less damage
btw hanzo’s primary fire does more damage then ana’s grande without cooldown

has large hitbox without shield

Genji in my opinion is not a good counter to hanzo because his movements are predictable. That’s why good genjis usually avoid jumping too much in front of him.
If hanzo baits your deflect then you’ve to be very careful against him.

I think Hanzo hard counters to both Tracer and Sombra. Even if you hack him, the moment you start spraying on his head, he’ll easily manage to headshot you. Same goes with tracer. She’s not that big of a threat to him.

Hammond has potential against hanzo but not as much as other dive tanks.

Widow is skill based matchup. From long range yes she should win but keep in mind that widow also face trouble against dealing with him from long range because hanzo’s head is like a pixel dot making him one of the hardest heroes to headshot and secondly his randomly flying arrows curving straight in your head.

But I do agree that Pharah, Doomfist, Winston and Dva are good against him.

You missed most of your shots and the dva literally ran from you😂 you gonna call a hero op when you faced someone that was playing like a bronze dva. And if that was competitive you would’ve been throwing and should switch.

Its really not hard to play around Hanzo. Most of these complaints aren’t a Hanzo problem, but more like a “you” problem because you don’t know how to properly play against him.

A lot of complaints I’ve seen revolve around how RNG he is and spams. I just don’t see that as a logical justification for a nerf. Any ranged/projectile hero can spam and get RNG kills, so should we nerf everyone else too?

the only counters to hanzo are heroes that are also broken (he even counters brig)

I think the only thing I would nerf is how fast he gets his ult. It tends to come way to quickly.

All of these things are compensation for the fact that Widow has the longest range, sometimes in undiveable positions and the highest damage output in a single shot (300 HP with a fully charged shot), and that she is hitscan. Hanzo can’t do either of this. He can’t play on Widow ranges and he can’t do 300 damage with one arrow. This is also why Widow has one mobility, her grapple, that has an average cooldown time, but has longer range than any of Hanzo’s abilities. It’s a balancing act, the red line of her shots included, as well as your hero yelling “SNIPER!” when she’s spotted.

It’s not a random decision by the pros that Widow is picked more and has a bigger winrate and is seen as a better hero.

What about SA? Projectile heroes have other ways of dealing damage. It’s either extra abilities, splash damage and/or spam. Without that, they wouldn’t be viable next to hitscan. Hanzo needs a secondary damage ability. Genji needs all those abilities too. I’m making a comparison because Hanzo is the only one ever accused of being “too much” when other projectile heroes can also be made to look like “too much” just as easily.

SA was designed by the community that hated scatter. It removed all the issues of scatter. Now this isn’t good either. Excuse me, but what exactly do people want besides removing Hanzo from the game?

And it’s time to stop thinking with our feelings and look at the statistics. Hanzo is bad at low ranks, because the skill to play him isn’t there. He’s better the higher you go, which correlates with his difficulty to play properly. This is how it should be.

Sometimes you’ll die to a random shot, which may have not been random at all, because you can’t read the mind of the enemy player. This one random death won’t lose you the game and these “random shots” happen with all heroes. I’ve randomly pre-fired a fully charged Zenyatta secondary and killed people instantly. With a healer. It happens. It isn’t exclusive to Hanzo, or even to projectiles (I once got headshot by Widow just as I left fade as Moira because I left fade in front of my Widow; enemy Widow couldn’t even see me but I got headshot. Boo hoo).

And if you’re getting killed consistently all game, with Hanzo headshots, maybe, just maybe this person knows how to play this hero and isn’t getting lucky shots 27 times in a row.

at this point I will just ignore you’re stupied reasons because they just make any sense at all.
your are just another normal hanzo main
start playing hero that takes skill
I wont be surprise if you never join voice chat
Private profile :white_check_mark:
has a hanzo profile picture :white_check_mark:

Looks like you lost a debate because your calling the dude names and insulting him now. Good job

no I just hate hanzo mains or any dps main for that matter

You need to chill out and stop being toxic. This guy that you’re insulting actually has logical facts and explanations to support his argument. But you on the other hand, where are your facts that aren’t based on your personal issues with Hanzo?

Yeah, honestly, sometimes Genjis just behave too predictably. The really good ones though are just a menace. There’s nothing you can do against them. I often opt to simply run away in that case (and I’m most often chased and killed).

I’m mixed on this. In my experience, there’s usually no in between here with these two. It’s either I instagib them with a headshot, or I’m one clipped before I can turn around. It has a lot to do with different playstyles so I’d just advise to approach each player individually, rather than just judging the hero pick. Some Hanzos are more defensive and hesitant, some are more aggressive. When playing Tracer and Sombra, it’s best to analyse the Hanzo first before running in recklessly.

I’ve been playing some more Sombra recently and I’ve noticed this myself. I can just hack and spray a lot of Hanzos, but some turn to me before I even finish the hack and force me to translocate.

I agree here. Widow still gets an advantage, simply due to range and scope, but it can go either way and it entirely depends on the skill of both players. I’ve fought Widows that couldn’t hit the broad side of the barn and I’ve fought Widows that could snipe me the second I peek.

What, you mean you weren’t convinced by the unshakable evidence of “I did half damage to a dva and then landed 1 shot out of 5 on someone else while my team did all the actual killing waow so op”?

I join voice every time and I’m a flex player. My mains are Hanzo, Zarya, Sym, Orisa, Moira and Lucio.

Hope that helps!

Oh so you’re saying you have a biased opinion and really shouldn’t be commenting on what heroes are or not op bc you hate dps mains

Now we know you are trolling. I have, as a tank. NEVER been one-shot killed by a normal headshot arrow. Regardless of distance. Zarya, Reinhardt, Roadhog(hahahah. as if Hog is a tank), hell, even D.va.

So I know you are just making crap up to look good.
And besides, you haven’t taken into account Hanzo’s arrow charge(I;E he needs to draw his arrow back fully to unleash the full damage. Suffice to say IF he hits). And that takes almost as long as Widowmaker’s scoped shots to charge up.

NOTE here that I said it takes ALMOST as long. Not “Exactly” as long.

it takes 5 shots to kill 600hp hero with hanzo
every shot takes 0.7 seconds to charge
5*0.7= 3.5 seconds
again if you think thats balanced something is wrong with you

Okay, now you are just changing what you are saying. At the same time invalidating your argument as a whole.
