I don not think so…
That’s a myth, Hitscan will always be easier than projectiles.
how many time did you see people get killed by any projectile by accident?
I wouldn’t agree that he takes “zero skill” since you do have to predict movement.
But I do think he’s in a rather powerful spot right now. I really want to practice Wrecking Ball, but I feel like I can’t because there’s a Hanzo in every game taking a big poo all over my practice.
It’s rewlly hard to say right now tbh.
far less than Widows being lucky at spotting a just ressed player getting easy one shots. Or less thsn Widow spamming bodyshots and still getting kills because lol you’re not a tank.
he isn’t that no skill but it shouln’t be a 3 star hero
Username checks out…
so you say that widow takes less skill then hanzo?
Hanzo hasn’t be considered a sniper in years. Blizz even admits the labels on hero’s are wrong.
He should be compared to other dps.
I do agree is a little on the op side. But all I would like changed is the ability to not to headshot with storm arrow, or maybe all arrows.I think this will put him in his place.
Hanzo isn’t op anymore. His pickrates and winrates shows this.
Also you’re funny if you think hitscan is harder than projectiles. Just because you can die randomly to one doesn’t mean that being consistent with projectiles is easy. Also you can randomly die to hit-scan “flick-shots” as well that wasn’t even aimed at you. How is that different than a stray projectile?
Flick shots are way more harder as Widow because it takes way longer to charge a shot then hanzo’s charge and you can move faster
He is good at any range,he has no falloff, can spamm, has 2 mobilities, high DPS
Widowmaker is long range, has 1 mobility on high CD,can’t spamm, high DPS
- He is not good at any range. He is great at mid-range, has zero consistency on long range and his close range viability relies on whether or not he has SA off cooldown. Lucky close range flicks notwithstanding (Widow can do the same). It’s time to stop with this myth. Better Hanzo players will be able to pull their weight in any of these situations, and so will Widow players (if you’ve never seen pro Widowmaker players doing insane flicks when they’re dove and killing Genjis and Tracers, please find some).
- No projectile heroes have falloff. What’s the point here?
- Every projectile hero spams (including someone like Genji).
- Has two mobilities. Ok? So does Genji, neither of which is on a cooldown. This is entirely arbitrary. Hanzo was released with only one mobility and therefore people think they’ve somehow been cheated when another one was added because they didn’t get used to it. If Genji didn’t have double jump at launch and it was added to buff him, the forum would be in flames over calling it OP and unnecessary. Both of Hanzo’s abilities are short range, which is why he has two, while Widow has one that launches her outside of the range of every single dive hero. Hanzo also plays closer to danger, unlike Widow. These mobilities are balanced.
- He has high dps because he’s a dps.
Find another scapegoat. Hanzo’s pickrates and winrates across the board are fine and they do not indicate that he’s in any way OP anymore after numerous nerfs, changes to other heroes to nerf him and the shift in the meta.

He can kill any tank in less then 5 seconds with normal arrows
genji has high cooldowns and a lot of counters
Ignore the stars for difficulty as they are there to give someone who is new to the game an idea of who they may want to start with to learn playing the game, in most cases Hanzo would be in most cases a bit more difficult to use due to how his shooting works with the drop off and so on.
?
He is deadly at any range, close - mid and long range he is the only hero in the game who can deal with Widowmaker (besides another Widowmaker)
No projectile hero deals 250 damage per critical at the same speed than Hanzo normal arrow.
Genji Shurikens doesn’t deal 250 critical damage in 1 shot. (3 shurikens)
Because is a bad designed hero. A "Sniper"class shouldn’t be allowed to have high damage at any stage of the game (Close-Mid-Long range) a wallhack every 8 seconds and a secondary skill who erases any Tank in the game including barriers.
Projectiles and arcing ones. Widow clicks and things happen, at long ranges Hanzo becomes a liability.
If you stand still and whine about being hit then it’s your fault.
I am gonna say this again, how many time did you play any projectile hero and accidentally hit someone
Love it how you think I stand still and get hit,I eat Hanzo arrows for breakfast.Doesn’t change the fact that he’s not as skillfull as Widowmaker.
