I was playing Mercy and Sombra ulted and I got hacked. I just continued pressing space bar to fly. Isn’t it supposed stop that too?
I didn’t think it was supposed to stop Mercy from flying during Valkyrie…

EMP dosen’t stop all ultimates. A good example is Mei. During her animation delay, the ult can be prevented. However, once snowball is thrown the ult cannot be countered. If Mercy is hacked after she ults, it cannot be countered by EMP.

I went and looked it up, it seems that in general directly offensive ultimates can be interrupted while more defensive ones cannot. So things like Death Blossom, Coalescence, Barrage and the like that have a major impact on weapon damage output, they can be interrupted once they’re going (though not Tactical Visor or Primal Rage, I guess because they aren’t directly damage boosters), while more defensive ones like Sound Barrier, Valkyrie, Rally or Transcendence can’t be interrupted unless it’s during the initial cast time (although the Supercharger can be hacked directly once placed).
So this isn’t a bug, it’s by design. Even though it seems like the kind of thing that a hack would interrupt, I guess it’s for balance so that the enemy team doesn’t get completely screwed by a well placed EMP.

Hack does not hack all passive’s / Ult’s this should help clear thing up:
(I know the OP is about ults and my post is about passive but I mentiend Valkyrie in the Mercy part because it seems to confuse alot of people.)
