Guide To Lower Queue Times in RQ

Right. That is why nobody wants to play them - because they are so impactful :joy:

Says person with 98 hours on D.va and is most played hero.

Apoken like a true bronze player gg

I play her for the gameplay and not for how impactful she is. It is also 1000 hours not 98

Rank shaming won’t bring you anything but suspension.

You being allowed to one trick instead of learning to play at least 2 roles is what started all this queue time clown fiesta. Delete role queue.

We’re more likely to see a terrible solution such as the following, which will literally limit the number of DPS matches you can queue in a day without DPS passes.

Bruh, I played back in season 6. These clowns instalock bastion or whatever and then go “you switch to tank or support” and your team ends up 1 tank 4 dps 1 support over him and the other 3 scrubs on your team.

I’ll 1 up this.

When OW2 launches, hit play and navigate to the quick match menu, see RQ? Skip that, you want to go for the card on the right of it, quick play classic or open queue, or further than that, mystery heroes. Click on either card and enjoy.

I’m still waiting to see how RQ plays out when RQ isn’t so highly biased towards the shiny new toy.

Beta 1 and Beta 2 literally did the worst thing possible and made all of the largest changes for pretty much Tank and DPS. Tank beta1 had so many changes from Winston’s new toy, Doomfist change, Orisa change, to rein changes, then we had junker queen in beta 2 who inflated tank pick rates.

DPS has always been the highest role. No surprise there it was going to be high with the state tank was in, but DPS also got several changes. First new character in beta1 and beta 2 (more people played beta 2 than 1 I think). Along with other DPS changes like Bastion and Sombra reworks.

Supports got next to nothing beyond Brig which not many people even play brig anyway. Mercy changes didn’t need much testing to see it. Not everyone plays Zen for a minor bonus to kicking. For one day during the OW2 beta when Moira got a heavy change along with a new super jump that I recall seeing tank/dps/support rates in the <3min in all ranks. Late into the beta when the newest change to the patch was supports, but not enough to drive continual play for the rest of it.

Launch meta is still going to suck because its f2p and EVERYONE who never played beta will get a choice for the same thing. Try out every new character. However, even with a new support there are still a ton of people who never tried out the plethora of changes on tank/dps.

I think it needs about a week to see how RQ really plays out before making any new suggestions. RQ OW2 times are all screwed up exactly like how experimental patches turn out heavily skewed.
