I have been playing Overwatch for a few days, and I don’t know why I have been getting banned randomly after matches. The most recent ban is for 8 hours, even after winning a match. I have not used any cheats, been toxic, or engaged in any illegal activities. This has been happening randomly for the past few days. I would appreciate it if you could resolve this issue as soon as possible. Currently, I am banned for 8 hours. And i am not DC from matchmaking or in match…! thats very weird…My internet connection is stable and has never been an issue.
Who’re you playing and how? It sounds like you’re getting mass reported.
I got banned right after I won a match, that’s the last straw. Upon returning to the matchmaking menu, I was immediately banned. I’m not a toxic player and I’ve always played fairly. If I’ve been mass reported, then there must be a mistake. I’ve never been toxic or cheated. Blizzard should be able to review my chat logs and gameplay history. It seems unfair to be banned without a clear reason, especially since these random bans have only started happening recently. I’ve been playing Overwatch for a long time and have never experienced bans like this before.
Oh, and there was also a time when I was in the middle of a match and suddenly got an “applying update” message. The match started automatically, but I was stuck and couldn’t do anything. Then, I heard an AFK warning. Of course, I couldn’t move because all I saw was the “applying update” screen.
I believe Blizzard doesn’t just ban players based on random reports from teammates or opponents who don’t like them. If that’s the case, the report feature could become a problem.
I have also just gotten banned a few days ago, completely out of the blue. My level 5 endorsement didnt drop to level 1 to signify i was getting reported a bunch. I just played the winter event modes before they went away so i could get the sprays, a player who chose to be the Yeti Winston ended up just standing there dancing as we hit him. Then got off, came back just yesterday or so to a perma ban. 5+ years gone down the drain with no explanation

After being banned for 8 hours, I finally won a match today. I went back into matchmaking, got a match, and then it said ‘connecting to server’, and suddenly I was banned again! Wow… this time for 19 hours. Something is definitely wrong. I think I need to reconsider playing Overwatch. I’m traumatized by matchmaking now
You are not the only one! Over the past 3 months i have had a dozen 15 minute suspensions. I have not left or disconnected. Then today, after completing a game i was suspended for 20 hours. I submitted a ticket and support would only say that there was nothing that they could do about “leaver” penalties. I submitted my ticket in detail explaining that my suspensions weren’t due to disconnecting or leaving. But that was the answer/response that they came back with. They didn’t even read my ticket.
