#GiveMercySupercharger

Sounds like I want to play Mercy as she was intended and as she was made for the first half of this games shelf life before a failed rework and 15 nerfs

You really trying to make the argument that the ability to fly and self heal in combat is inconsequential?

Really

For a healer? Yes, it’s literally the least important thing. first is healing, 2nd utility, 3rd is damage. She isn’t a DPs. Are you being dense on purpose?

I’d like to play Tracer the way she was intended with 200 HP but I’m also smart enough to know that couldn’t be balanced at a pro level so I don’t spam threads about it.

Well too bad you can’t right?

Even if this wasn’t debunked a million times (mass rez was available when OWL began and she was useless)

If only the game YOU PURCHASED with YOUR MONEY was for YOU TO PLAY and not for the pros. Wouldn’t that be great?

It’s not. The purpose of the game is to maximize profits, and Activision chooses how that’s done. Maybe you should start a #DeleteOWL thread. Your hashtag “movements” have been so effective so far…

I will start advocating for it soon as they give me a refund for ruining the game I enjoyed after I paid them. Then we can both be happy

Damage boost doesn’t magically make a slow hero catch up, give them an angle on the target, or make thier aim worthwhile to boost.

Mercy’s pistol is pretty good, and using GA tech to get angles your team can’t to secure a kill will always be worth more than standing idly boosting someone who has no chance to confirm the kill.

valk is already budget supercharger :expressionless:

and no.

valk is cancer.
if u cant tell its been the reason/focus of nearly ALL her nerfs excluding rez and dmg boost.

im lucky i used wow gold to fund my purchase <_<

Ah I see.

Yeah I agree with everything. If they touched of Valkyrie a bit and reduced its duration a tiny bit to compensate it’d be perfect.

I really hope the devs are reading this, because your ideas to buff Mercy are actually very good and it doesn’t even do any crazy reworks or massive changes.

Obviously there are specific situations in which your pistol is better, but a large amount of Mercy mains on this thread (inlcuding yourself) are acting as if everything else Valkyrie offers is useless.

I just want “Heroes Never Die!” to actually mean that again, it doesn’t have to be rez. I’d be super happy with an ult that granted invulnerability for 2,5 seconds too, or at least give her the option if nothing else to toggle to a stronger single target beam if keeping Valkyrie is a must.

Edit* Why did I post that here? Was supposed to be in another thread, sorry!

You’re right. My opinion is that Valk, as it stands, is awful. I feel like I am playing a deployable during it and would love to see it changed or swapped for something that isn’t so automated.

The free flight is rarely needed, I can’t pistol and support so the pistol buff is moot, the regen is alright but semi-unnecessary, so that leaves the chain beams which I find less enjoyable than Supercharger as once SC is popped it’s back to normal gameplay. Valkyrie interrupts 80% of what I love about Mercy everytime I pop it, so I can’t bring myself to like current Valk.

So while I wouldn’t say Valk is useless, superfluous maybe, I dislike it enough that I’d prefer something that objectively is less flexible but keeps opportunities open for retaining the gameplay I love.

What is that 80%? I’m genuinely confused by this, Valkyrie literally makes everything Mercy has better (besides rez, which doesn’t need it), so what is it you think you’re unable to do?

“Orisa has it worse so obviously Mercy mains aren’t allowed to complain !”

Chain beams kill my need to micro-manage all my allies health and DB needs, I just idly flip-flop between them as arbitrarily needed.

Free flight removes any challenge or need to use GA creatively to properly position myself to keep myself relatively safe while being in a prime position to reposition as needed to support my team properly.
It also removes the hard parts of shotcalling/threat assesment by literaly providing a bird’s eye view.

Extendo-beams remove the threat of being in the fight actively fighting to keep my teammates up.

Infinite regen allows me to be less thoughtful about my level of engagement, as long as I’m not sniped there’s no real reason to step back for a moment to breathe and re-evaluate.

That’s all I can think of now, but I could probably list more if I really thought about it.

Seems like we just veiw Valkyrie very differently, you take all the advantages of it and use it as an excuse to use the ult lazily because you can. Whereas I (and many others) take those advantages and use them to benifit myself and my team to the fullest extent.

Free flight gives you the ability to move slightly faster and obviously omni-directional mobility, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that GA is far faster than just floating around, your movement is very predictable in Valkyrie when not using GA.

Extendo beams do allow Mercy to do her job from a safer distance, but you don’t have to be at max beam range, nor is it very beneficial to be that far away.

There’s far more burst damage in the game than just snipers, and an Ana nade or a dynamite will completely negate her self-heal. I guess that part depends who you’re playing against, although currently I’m in gold and people still know how to focus Valk.

But in the end none of what you’ve said is an aspect of her kit that can’t be used in Valkyrie, just aspects of her kit that you choose to ignore during Valkyrie.

Well our experiences differ incredibly then.
In my experience killing the Valking Mercy is more bonus points than anything genuinely necessary.

I only have to dodge D.Va bombs, Riptires, Deadeyes, TacVisors and the occasional sniper trying to hit me. If they really want me dead Moira will pop Coalescence, but even that’s rare and I still tend to outlive my team. I’ve had Genji’s try with Blade, but it tends not to work if I’m quick enough.

Everyone else straight ignores me and focuses on damaging my team through my ult. They’ll usually send someone to stagger me if I don’t regroup fast enough/juke effectively after my team’s down.

Valk is a lazy ult, it does the hardest part for you while making everything else easier.

I guess it’s just best we agree to disagree.

Valk is an egaging ult with good impact, you are lazy with it. Agree to disagree, but I truly hope you at least attempt even just once to use Valkyrie more actively.

I literaly can not get more active with Valk than moving about and holding down heal/boost or pistoling, which you seem to disprove of. So while I highly doubt just moving a bit more will suddenly open some amazing hidden potential I never encountered, I promise I’ll move more.
