Mercy mains think their ultimate is boring and feels low impact? Let’s swap Mercy’s ultimate for Orisa’s.

The forum Mercys would be begging for Valkyrie back within an hour.

That’s literally a concept I’ve seen thrown around . Mercy can’t participate in her ult benefits. If she threw her staff down, she could lay down the fire too.
I for one am fine with this.

You’d be wrong, I for one would much prefer Supercharger over Valkyrie, and there have been multiple suggestions saying something similar to doing this

I mean, with Mercy you basically are the Supercharger.

Unless you decide to go Battle-Mercy and trigger all your teammates of course.

I actually love supercharger. It gives your team so much damage output it’s insane. I think people’s main issue with it is that they don’t know exactly when the best time to use it is.

I’ve seen and suggested similar concepts like… When I am Mercy, I love supercharger. Pistol feels great. And orisa has a strong shield to weave behind so I can dish damage without having to prioritize healing for the whole time.

It’d be nice!
Actually having a time and place where I’m enabled to help secure kills, that isn’t like out of necessity pulling the pistol on a flanker, would really help with engagement on Mercy.

Though I’ve been pistoling way more often recently anyway, so I could be biased.

I havent played many games where supercharger was all that noticable. Then again it’s just blink blink one clip recall and RIP your ult.

Wait so that mean I can go Battle Mercy AND feel the effects of my chain damage boosting?

Or that I can prioritize my healing on specific teammates if the rest of my teams already being boosted by the charger?

I highly doubt itd work out that way. Swapping Valk for SC addresses none of the complaints Mercy mains have.

You should read replies from this thread. It looks like they would prefer Supercharger.

Here’s explanation why:

Supercharger let’s you continue playing the game with same gameplay as you normally do. You and team just get boosted by it.

Valkyrie takes lot of the Mercy gameplay away. You are the supercharger now. Just hold down mouse button to heal for 15 seconds while floating around. Going battle Mercy is fun part of it, i guess, but doing that means no heals for the team.

Supercharger is not super flashy and cool ult, but at least i can continue playing regular Orisa with more damage. I don’t play Mercy, but i think Mercy mains would prefer something like Supercharger over Valkyrie.

I’d love Valkyrie to be similar to Supercharger.

Saying theyd like it is one thing, actually playing with it would be another.

Many of the complaints focus on fun, impact, hero moment. Supercharger on Mercy’s kit does not really address any of that. Furthermore, there are the complaints of contradiction of kit. That also wouldnt be addressed with SC.

Why would Mercy have a stationary AoE provider of 50% damage boost? How is a fire and forget ult like that which takes very little thought suddenly make her not boring? Etc etc etc.

If you just skybox and hold M1 with Valk you are doing it wrong.

So yeah… Disagree.

I feel like being able to give one person 80% damage boost and 50% to everyone else would actually address the impact and hero moment, fun factor of the ult maybe maybe not

Supercharger may be boring to use but when deployed with proper timing, it’s an instant win button.
