Getting stuck in main screen in competitive match if you load highlights and cancel at the perfect time

if you load highlight (or maybe other things can trigger this too, i don’t know.) and cancel it when the queue for competitive disappears you get stuck in the main screen and you can’t do anything but

  • abandon the game
  • sit there till you get kicked (which i did)

don’t know if it’s reproducible, I don’t want to try. but please look into it. thanks.

Exact same issue here. Very frustrating! Lost 50 SR and an endorsement level :rage::confounded:

BLIZZARD, please at least acknowledge it as a known issues and put a sticky about it in forums, etc.

it just happened to me the same thing but i wasn’t doing anything and still got the inactivity bug lost more than 200 SR in general. pls fix this dont want my points back just want this to be over with . Cant really play this game if im scared that each time i go for a competitive game i might get bugged on the loading screen

i also down 200SR and my bans are stupid long now so i can’t even play it, this halloween event is so broken.

Absolutely ridiculous this is still an issue and the game can’t at the very least detect you’re bugging out.
Just took a loss during placements and screwed over a really good-sounding team, hearing everything in the voice chat but unable to use push to talk, disconnect or anything, had to close the whole game manually cos of this issue.
Please look into this devs, and generally I know the thread regarding this issue says you get penalised for technical issues because the whole lobby is affected so “don’t play if you have the issues” - that’s absolutely stupid because everyone gets issues from time to time and it’s not predictable. Yes it makes sense not to continue after it happens repeatedly but

  • what about the first time during each occasion when there is no “risk” by queuing?
  • what about game issues like this which aren’t fixable by users and is independent of things like hardware or internet connection?

Please imagine being the person this happens to. You’re playing a game and get penalised for a problem in the game only to be told “stop playing then”.
Makes no sense.
Please acknowledge and fix this.
