Tbh the only thing blitz really has to do to balance genii is remove the deflect cancel. It would add counter play that was lost when he got the goats buffs.

Nothing you’ve said counters any of his points in slightest. You are flat out wrong about Genji’s skill floor- that is a fact. Not going to try and go point-counterpoint with you because you are so overly biased you can’t be reasoned with.

Genji has some of the lowest dps in the game. This is only offset by his slipperiness. Don’t compare his mechanics to a support. People just want to see him dumpstered because he is good now and not F tier. The double shield poke meta is over. Adapt. Here is a dps chart (little dated but still pretty accurate:

I’m really not enjoying playing into genji on support at the moment, but I gotta agree about brig.
That 50 damage on shield bash against the cyborg twink is chefs kiss.

In competitive, not even close to top five. I mean anything is playable in QP, gold, whatever. In OW 1, Genji was hovering around D tier, maybe C depending on the season.
It absolutely baffles me how they thought that giving hyper-mobile heroes the new DPS passive on top of already existing speed-buffing abilities was a good idea.
This is like dive on steroids, you’re dead before you even figure out what’s happening. I think I’m gonna need prescribed stimulants to keep up with this chaotic nonsense.

The fact you say something is true doesn’t make it so, you clearly didn’t read/understand what I said and trying to protect a guy who shares the same sentiment as you. You truly believe all I do all day is complain about genji? whenever I play I bully genji players regardless of the hero I play, as it’s not even my main game I just truly care for competitive game design, therefor I engage in this conversations. quite literally everything I said counters everything he did, and you can keep on being a genji fanboy as long as you want, the truth remains the same

The fact that you give DPS as an argument shows how little you understand about game design - let me introduce a new term to you: burst damage. Genji is the only hero in the game that has on average low TTK (time to kill) no other hero by design in overwatch has this trait and it’s completely intentional, stop spreading false information over things you understand nothing about, it’s embarrassing.

don’t you know genji’s 200 hp combo? he got quite a few: right click dash melee combos ring a bell maybe? as it stands - instant TTK, no need a source for it, it’s a known thing kid.
Don’t you know about Widow headshot? Who can do it at up to 80m, over 20x Genji’s combo range with less mechanical skill requirement.

Widow headshot, hahaha, ok lets go with you - take the lowest amount of time it takes widow to charge her shot peek and kill, the lowest possible, even that is average TTK and requires a setup, unlike genji a bit more clear now?
Oh wow, I didn’t know Genji’s combo require no setup. He always magically appears right next to you whenever he wants.
