Funny how hitscans can just click my body

While we projectile players have to flick and track accordingly to our enemy’s movements and just hope and pray our shots hit really.

With hitscans you just click them bodies and them heads for free without much aim being required, it’s even better if a Mercy’s pocketing you.

As Hanzo or Genji?? I can’t even land a single arrow/shuriken before the Mccree or Ashe double click my head.

Projectiles deserve more than just “spam and spray and hope you hit something”, sadge dude.

I mean, what do you want? Even if they made all hitscan bullets into projectiles, they would still be extremely fast to the point they may as well be hitscan on these tiny Overwatch maps.

Basically, deal with it

I don’t know what to tell you. Hitscan will always be better than projectile, period. That’s just how flawed by design they are.

You sound like you’ve never played a hitscan hero, you know it’s not just point and click, you gotta track your enemies just as a projectile hero does because your enemies aren’t standing still, you don’t need to overshoot though and while it is easier for hitscans it’s definitely not a walk in the park either

Wtf? That is aiming dude. :joy:

Like I agree hitscans are overtuned in overwatch and playing projectiles heroes is honestly harder not to mention it’s been killing the diversity in the dps department.

Still more skillfull on a projectile hero, and since everyone claims hit scans should reward skill, projectile should reward even more than hit scan. Funny the “skilled” players can’t stand projectile heroes being the superior dps.

Imagine if they globally nerfed hitscan dps, half the playerbase would switch to CoD

Good, if they want to play CoD let them, OW is for OW fans, not CoD fans.

They did have more in the past. Projectile heroes had powerful kits in exchange for using projectiles. Hitscans have strong guns but mediocre kits. They gutted all projectile hero kits except for Echo and Ashe has the best of both worlds.

This harmony is why I contested the Helix rocket cd buff for soldier (even if he wasn’t meta) and the hook cd reduction for Widow way back.

Hitscan are suppose to have weak kits. Ashe needs CD nerfs.

I mean, projectiles are a bit better at fighting against fast targets because of their travel time…

But I agree it’s not that fair right now…

But I do think a bit of fixing to the protections would do the trick.
If projectiles would do more damage to shields it will be more fair to them as it’s easier to block them using any other protection while still making them useful and would also solve the double shield meta.

Just an idea…

Either way I hope something will be done in order to make them a bit more useful.

I’d like to see someone just click on your body when you’re taking advantage of Overwatch’s infinite acceleration. It’s all prediction bro.

You don’t think hitscan players have to flick and track?

Why do i find this to actually happen? Either COD, CSGO, or Valorant for this.

Which is aim.

It is the opposite, hitscan heroes have to aim to hit.
Projectile heroes can miss by quite a bit and still do damage, and some of them even do splash damage.

Nerf hitscan damage? That isn’t so hard.

What about the several metas we’ve had where hitscan weren’t the best??

Seems like a stretch to say “will always be better” when we have history that shows they haven’t been

Echo would need some considerable nerfs if this happens

They often do…

Junkrats damage is obscene and AoE
Pharah damage is huge and AoE
Hanzo 1 shots to the head and 2 shots to the body without even being fully charged for both shots
Mei icicle 1 shots Tracer to the head, and can 3 body shot McCree for 225hp at any distance
Genji just needs to land like 2 shurikens at a distance and he can dash in, right click melee combo 200hp heroes
Torb primary is scary if you can land shots

I could go on

Hitscan is not the end all be all. Projectile heroes have been meta in the past & have their own advantages. Just because hitscan has gotten some much needed love last year doesn’t mean they’re overpowered or have been since launch. They haven’t been. McCree has largely been trash for most of Overwatch, Soldier has been bad since like 3 years ago until recently, Ashe only started being good once she got buffs a little less than a year ago, and Widow has always been good in the right hands and bad in others, and she’s been nerfed like 5 times in the past year

Y’all gotta quit dumping on hitscan as if projectile heroes aren’t obnoxious when they’re too strong, as we’ve seen in the past before Hanzo was justifiably nerfed. Just imagine what Echo would be doing to everyone if hitscan wasn’t as strong as it is now, she’d be running rampant (she kinda already is)

This is coming from someone who plays just about every hero. I don’t play much Ashe or Widow, but I do play McCree and Soldier, and Symmetra, Torb, Hanzo, Junkrat, and others. You may not like my opinion, but it’s a fair one.

You don’t think hitscans have to flick and track as well?

Also projectiles are larger and do more damage.

L2P.

Agreed. She is probably the only OP projectile right now. Even more OP Hitscan just clown on her

Flicking is different from tracking imo. Two different skillets. Ones not less valuable than the other. But they are distinctly different.
