Fixed Pattern Spread analysis for Reaper

If someone would be so kind as to post the direct images here I would greatly appreciate it, since I don’t have permission to do that yet, .

Now that reaper’s shotgun spread has been “fixed,” so to speak, I thought I would post an analysis of the spread pattern like I have done for the others so far.

It took me quite a while to break this down because his pattern is somewhat different than the other weapons. It has three separate rings that make it quite a bit more spread out at a distance.

However, this also gives him a tight center-clustered region containing 6/20 pellets which allows him to land all of them as head impacts at distances below 5 meters. This probably allows a reaper player with very good aim to significantly increase their damage output compared to the average reaper player.

Reaper’s shotgun has three distinct rings unlike other shotgun weapons which only have two.

The spread is very large and it is not possible to get more than 3 head impacts at this range. Aiming at head level results in 3 head impacts, 2 body impacts, and 15 misses for a total of 56 damage.

This is not ideal. Aiming at torso results in 84-91 damage since the impacts vary slightly in position, sometimes pellet-13 and pellet-11 will both hit or only one of these will hit.

Regardless whether one or both hit, you get almost twice as much damage by aiming at the center of the model instead of the head.

Here are the links for the other patterns I have broken down in case you missed those.
