And if its NOT cheating, then the balance and aim abilities of certain heroes (And its almost always the exact same heroes) needs some serious rework/discussions.
So either way you have a cheating or major balance issue with crap in the game.
You do good at victim blaming. There are balance issues, there are balance issues, there are balance issues. What favorite hero of yours are you nervous about getting reworked? Can you name a game that has 0 balance issues that is pitch perfect?
Here: 1. there is cheating in Overwatch 2. There are balance issues in Overwatch 3. No one needs to âproveâ anything to OW Forum Detectives who try to deflect and project issues elsewhere - the entire reason the game has balancing issues.
Compared to most games, even Rivals, OW has very few cheaters.
Its easy to translate many games to having cheaters due to the massive skill range in any given match. Itâs also a 1-2 punch combining skill ranges with the linear metas like Widow dominating games.
I see this a lot since Iâm a Mercy player. Since Mercy is no longer competitive, Iâve lost a lot of rank, like most Mercys. For me surviving has become much easier since Iâm used to contesting higher level enemies, but Iâll watch teammates walk in, in a straight line by themselves and die to a widow beam and say âreport widowâ.
But thatâs also the nature of an arena shooter. Since the strategy aspect of OW has been removed, itâs easy to be successful by just holding W and clicking on heads. click more heads than the enemy does and you win, and it creates a 1 dimensional mindset on how to play⌠thus creating a brain drain of the community funneling into Rivals
Oh itâs still their, team/hero synergies, focus firing targets, Ult comboâs are all still their. And you benefit greatly from using them.
Itâs just that you also have to take into account what the enemy is throwing at you to, which was less important in OW1 as your tanks duoâs kind of kept a lot of 1v1 dps/support interactions from happening.
Oh look who it is: the any support thread troll out with witty commentary and knee slapping input in another thread. I keep forgetting how the forums owe you screenshots, videos, etc of cheating. Do you work for Blizzard that you request them or something? Or just the âits your skillâ issue crowd who doesnt want their main touched?
I have noticed an uptick in cheaters. I watch my replays to see what I could have done better, and I observe the opponents POV, and some of the keep looking at me and tracking me through walls without any wall hacks. They keep checking to my position through walls, even when Iâm not nearby. Like itâs not even in my general direction, itâs AT me through walls
I donât think itâs all the time but it is getting more frequent, which sucks.
You could stop typing random nonsense like Juno doing too much damage and killing pharah, Zen and Moira making dps heroes irrelevant and point out actual issues in the support role but you never do.
Stop blaming others for pointing out skill issues when everything you complain about is obviously, to everyone above bot elo, a skill issue.
Every single one of your threads is throwing a toddler tantrum over cheaters and anything that rolls you being a balance issue rather than take some accountability for being a complete potato for once. If you put as much effort into improving your own gameplay that you do crying about and blaming everything else, youâd get out of bot elo but clearly you lack the basic intelligence to do so.
Iâm on Support when this happens. I donât play Sombra that often. So they are tracking me through walls even when Iâm on Zen and donât have footsteps.
Yeah no. Sounds like you just keep getting outplayed and donât like it.
Are there cheaters in Overwatch? Absolutely. Blizzard bans them often enough. Are there enough cheaters that itâs ârampantâ? No. Not even close.
The fact that you donât even know for sure if these are cheaters are not, just tells me that youâre a sore loser who doesnât like getting killed in a PvP game.
Regular wall hacks and ult trackers are very, very hard to detect as an opposite player, even with replays. Only bad players use aimbots, aiming is easy when you know where you have to look.
As soon as a player has a bit game sense, these two very common cheats are enough to dominate the enemy team. It can be called via voice chat, every engagement can be planned well, cooldowns can be used with exact timings.
In early days of internet pvp fps gaming, the average cheater quote was 25% or higher. When the first only server sided anti cheats where introduced, the daily logins and connections went down by double digits in some games, thousands and thousands of players were banned. A lot of players have no mindset to play fair if they do not have to.
