Do you seriously think that those opinions outweigh statistics?

If the team feels that she’s statistically doing too much healing she will be nerfed.

Right now the stats don’t back that up so those complaints are just noise.

I’m just gonna be like “Wander over Yonder” and ‘Don’t feed the Troll’.

Well then again it was consider by some to be “hiding” if you took cover because you know supports are suppose to tank shots and Ultimates all the time or else “they’re hiding”.

If you were leaving your team to die to get 5-mans POTGs SR freebies then you were the problem (saying you as in a person who does that, but I suck at writing so I haven’t said it in a better way).

Then again with those Reddit posts on “how to play Mercy” featuring screw over your team going all around people choose that playstyle instead of playing the game they just sat in the corner. Then if a Mercy who didn’t want to do that non-playstyle got yelled at or derided by select teammates who happen to be the types who think they know it all.

Really what was needed was a punish “other than losing” to make the Hide 'n Rez not viable at all so none would suggest it.

OFC those suggestions were offered and are still being offered, but all things with time.

And you’re free to do that no matter how wrong or right you are.

You base your view entirely on your own bias and nothing will change that.

Stats are showing Mercy and Moira are top pick healers right now. That is grounds enough for a nerf.

Not really.
Their sole purpose is to focus on healing.
If you try to compare that to something like zen/lucio who bring less healing but more utility and defencive capability to the table you’d be crazy.

YEP, an Zenyatta was too powerful against some squishies, being more DPS than healer, an he has already been Nerfed for it. Moira, who has had Nerf posts since release since she can actually defend against flankers, and Mercy are next on the Nerf Train since they have already Nerfed Brigitte a bit recently.
ANYONE ELSE SEE A PATTERN HERE?

This and Lucio received nerfs as well, so that left Mercy as the best healer at the time.

This is what it burning about the rework. The intent has ended up working in reverse, and skill ceiling didn’t heighten either.

Moira is a hybrid and Mercy is the only to “focus” on healing. if they are being played more than other supports then their healing is outweighing the supports utilities. Therefore the healing should be nerfed to balance out the utility of the other supports who do less healing.

Next because Moira is a hybrid DPS Healer she should not have the same level of healing or near to the same level of healing done as Mercy since healing is Mercy’s focus and Moira is split between the two.

From my perspective as a ex Mercy main who play on top 500 lvl all of Mercy changes were really good and reasonable. The problem is that after all those changes Mercy (at least for me) is not fun anymore. Before nerf you could feel that you are part of a team and you could be proud of your plays, using ultimate in right time etc. You felt that team needs you and you can change something in team fight. It was still nothing compering to good nade or sleep dart but it gave you some kind of satisfaction. Right now all you can be proud of is right click and left click and just listen people who complain that you didn’t res or tryed to Res in bad time.
Since last Mercy nerf I played her 5h instead of that I started to main ana ( who also require changes), but it doesn’t change a fact that I am really upset that mercy became the most boring and annoying hero.
The problem is that she doesn’t need a nerf or buff she just need another rework or a big change. For me Mercy should get one more ability (which would actually require some skills) or maybe disabling cast time and instead of it add 2-4 sacond ability to Res someone ( mercy would need to be fast with resorect instead of waiting half of team fight before resorect.) Because all she needs is just some speed in her gameplay.

Even though they both focus on healing they don’t focus on the same type of healing.
Mercy focuses on the big single target healing and her damage comes from utilizing her damage amp better.
Moira is more focused on AoE burst heal and she doesn’t have crazy high damage.

That’s thing a buff or nerf won’t change the roots of the issue. Its a kit design problem and that means it needs a rework. I’m begging to see that with how “oppressed” some feel with facing a Rezzed opponent that it needs to be another ability.

Mercy’s healing should probably be reduced to make room for said new ability.

Not anymore Valkyrie does AOE healing so no Mercy does not focus on “big single target healing” Mercy focuses on consistent healing while Moira focuses on Burst healing as you said.

Mercy’s healing is strong and DMB is too so Resurrect should be removed or made the Ultimate and AOE healing removed or a nerf to the healing to bring her closer inline with the other supports since Resurrect is strong.

Are you trying to argue for a mercy nerf or what are you even trying to achieve here???

Yes Mercy should be nerfed in her passive powers such as:

  • Chained Beams Removed
  • Uninterrupted Regeneration Removed
  • Valkyrie Duration Reduced
  • 30 second cooldown for Rez replaced with it being earned.

Then active powers can be looked at being changed:

  • Rez has no slow, but must be charged (its powerful and should be earned, but not interfere with mobility as the Devs stated design concept and should not prevent healing, DMB, or Blaster while being done). Also makes Rez shutdowns more impactful. Also requires better positioning since you could walk out of your Rez, but you may want to choose to do that and that would make its use more active.
  • Valkyrie has speed increased in for Guardian Angel which again adds to the active abilities.

I have a dream:

  • Rez no longer on E, in exchange some other ability
  • Valkyrie duration nerfed to 12 seconds
  • Valkyrie now has single beam that heals 90 hp and damage boost 35%
  • Beam range as is
  • Valkyrie GA speed and regular speed slightly increased
  • The E ability transforms to a rez that needs to be charged before use, meaning a certain amount of healing/boosting needs to be done. Can only charge one rez at a time but in theory limitless. Mercy can not ult to rez as she would first have to charge the meter, and this will take a while depending on how much damage she can heal/teammates deal/herself deal. Let’s say she needs to heal 400 hp for one rez, the likelihood of her rezzing more than two is virtually non-existent.
  • Rez in Valkyrie has a small cast-time of 0,5 seconds.

Am I reading this right?

You want Valkyrie to be a reduced duration (which I agree with) but with little added value for that reduced duration (which I’m puzzled with)? The only things Valkyrie has from what I understand from that post is faster GA, better self survival and unlimited pistol ammo?

Resurrect should be an earned ability, that I do agree with, that would make it a bit more noticeable on the difference of a low ranked Mercy main to a higher ranked Mercy main from a statistical perspective.

I can’t say that I agree with that but the idea of Res as a charge ability is really nice. We would not longer see Mercy just insta testing first pick in first seconds of game and mercy mains would have finally smth to think about. Well tbh it can’t be charged with healing because that would be pretty easy and we would see before every fight one tank just feeding mercy Res. Instead of that damage boost or numbers of assists. I hope blizzard will think about it. But unfortunately I think that creates a problem of pharamercy again. Mercy with phara would charge Res faster…

It’s kinda sad to have Mercy in the state she’s in (I still enjoy playing her, rez is cool but not why I love her), but I love seeing all of the proposed reworks, and trying to come up with my own.

I honestly kinda want an E ability that isn’t rez, but become 2 charges of insta-rez during her ultimate. However, I’m not sure what exactly the ability could be outside of her ult.

I love EeveeA’s proposed changes; she has some really great ideas.

Back on the old threads, Titanium had some good ideas.

I love the “Hero’s Will” idea posted further up on this thread.

Blizzard, please give us some confirmation that you’re listening to us; please let us know if you would ever take any of these ideas into consideration, sice the community that loves Mercy is trying to show you how much we love her and care about her. How we want her to be balanced, but for her to have an ultimate that feels very impactful, like Lucio’s or Zenyatta’s.
